I am originally from Spain and have been back a ton of times. I just lived in Madrid for three years on work assignment. I've been to the Nou Camp twice: Barcelona - Celta in a league match and Barcelona - Real Madrid in the Champions League semis. Fantastic stadium. Where are you from? I'm trying to help you get some conversations going on your new threads. How many more to go?
Aw c'mon. There is nothing wrong with talking to madridistas. I've participated quite a bit on Barcelona threads. I'll try again. Where are you from?
yes and yes! I really like Spain as a country for all it's history and culture. But a lot of people from Catalnuya wouldn't say their from Spain. They'd first say their from Catalunya first and from Spain second. I now have a better understand of where they're coming from after living in Barcelona for a little while. They have a separate langauge, history, and culture compared to other parts of Spain. But then again almost each region of Spain has its own history, culture, and language. That's what makes the place so interesting!
I once dated a girl named Catalina, does that count? I have been to Spain and of my tour of Europe the highlight was Granada. Amazing place. Madrid reminded me of one big San Juan.
I'm from Spain, but have been only once in Barcelona and couldn't visit Nou Camp. But it will be the first thing I'll do next time I go to Barcelona.
Yes... went to Spain in 2000 and went to the Nou Camp. Even though it was the middle of the summer and there were no games on. Walked around the complex and saw the museum / trophy room. What that island shopping center / disco place in Barcelona called again, "Mari Magnum or something? Did the running of the bulls in Pamplona too. That was nuts!
Been to Spain 3 times; twice to Barcelona. Never been to the Nou Camp though although I should've. First trip was back in '99 I think with my family. We took a tour starting from Madrid, all the way down to Costa Del Sol. I'd say the highlight was this little town in the mountains called Toledo. Breathtaking view of this beautiful little town from the winding roads along the mountains. I remember the tour bus even stopped so we could take pictures from afar. Don't remember the other cities we went to but Granada was definitely one of them as well as Sevilla. I've twice visited Barcelona to see a friend who was studying abroad. I guess Barcelona's a lot like any other major city. I'm not much of a touristy person that's into sightseeing and all that stuff but it's cool seeing some of the Gaudi influences throughout the city. Of course La Sagrada Familia is a sight to behold. Definitely an interesting piece of architecture. Plus shopping on Las Ramblas for cheap soccer jerseys is fun too. Bargain with those suckers because they'll come crawling after you if you try to leave.
Well, I've never been to Spain, But I kinda like the music. Hear the ladies are insane there. An' they sure know how to use it.
Yes, lived from 2000-2004 in Granada and countless summer vacations. No, haven't been to Barcelona at all. I did see Barcelona play S*****a in 1989 down South.
yes i have been to spain...and this is what i have to say about that.....ViVA LA REPUBLICA PORTUGUESA
Yes, on several occasions. I have a cousin who is Spanish (half-spanish technically), and he was born, raised and lives in Sevilla. Just saw him last month at the end of a business trip to Extremadura. I've also been to Madrid, Barcelona (majestic), in the Asturias region (where he got married) and through Galicia as well. Like glennaldo_sf, only got to visit the Nou Camp during the offseason. Been invited to a game at the Bernabeu this fall (can I say that w/o recriminationon the Barca boards?). Nice people. Wonderful tapas. Best ham in the world.
I'm a senior in college now. Last year I studied abroad in Barcelona and went to several games at the Nou Camp. I've also visited Girona, Mallorca, Sevilla, Granada, Cordoba, Madrid, Toledo, Bilbao and San Sebastian. Such a fun country...
No, but i have a big wish to go to that splendid stadium. San Siro and Camp Nou are the most spectacular stadiums.
Go to Spain mate . On the other hand, maybe it's not such a good idea - won't get that much studying done.
Been to Spain twice... Fell in love with every Española I met...or so it seemed. Beautiful ladies. I haven't been back in years, but I think of it often. Oh...and...saw Atletico Madrid play (it wasn't all chasing women).
