Um, excuse me? Excuse me? You're supposed to evaluate THIS kind of night's work?

I don't think people understand what just happened. A bunch of guys who never played together in their lives and who were thrown together in much the same fashion as the MLS "select" team ......... just went to Guatemala and got a well-deserved tie. Last year, a seasoned "A" team went to Grenada under the same conditions and won 3-2. An "A" team went to Jamaica and was lucky to get a late tie. An "A" team went to Panama and was gifted a tying goal on a bad call. Let's put this in perspective.

Why couldn't we have taken a look at Gaven and Spector in this game. Those were the top two players I'd like to see given a look. We don't learn anything from seeing guys like Vanney and Twellman play. I already knew they stink.

    Dempsey sucks.
I actually thought for a while that we might win, but oh well.

What makes me mad is that all of our players were smiling as if they won.

Even Bruce seemed happy at the end

    FCUK. Just plain old FCUK!

This could have been a highlight film for MLS, but noooooooooooooooooo.

Twellman couldn't find the net for $hit. Dempsey looked completely uninterested. And GAM, please . . .totally fcuked up two easy ones.

I know Bruce is looking to see some new guys, but man how frustrating. Should have put Landon in much earlier. It's one thing to try out new players, but it much more to actually get a score and lift the team to another level. We just didn't have it.

No goals from the trial forwards means no spots in my opinion. they all sucked.

    MAN I'M FCUKING PISSED!!!

i dont think we need to read too much into the game. it sucked, but it is just one game.

the worst part is that these players didn't seize the opportunity given to them to show their stuff. that being said, i know some of you will soon be explaining why this game means we should never play in another world cup. :)

Dempsey does not realize he does not have the skills to take players on all the time. He lost the ball way too many times. I would have taken him out much earlier.

I thought a couple of guys looked ok.

Dempsey and Convey are ones for the future and looked pretty good.

They should be on the team in Germany along with Johnson who looks like a star in the making. Poor header that should have been a goal but he looks like class in a game with not much class out there. Rest of the team are just backups for injuries except Donovan and Ralston.

Bruce wasn't gonna call Spector in all the way from England for this one game. I think he'll come in next game. Gaven, well Gaven has been playing like ******** for the past two months

LOL chief, do #6 ranked teams do as good if they don't play a single player from their A-Team as a starter? Relax.

Hell at least he took on somebody. He probably shouldn't have been moved out wide as he looked less effective but until Donovan came in he looked pretty good to me.

Let's put something else in perspective: It really doesn't matter if Mexico finishes ahead of us in the table, because we qualified first, and we qualified by blanking them 2-0.

This makes twice in a row we have qualified before Mexico.

Maybe you can give that "advice" to your boy Twellman, who just shredded up his ticket to Germany tonight.

And who can think of a better reason to root for (or against, in this case) a team?
