Within the first 10 minutes of kickoff, I was told by some idiot from CSC that I wasn't allowed to stand on the bleachers. Twice. The second time he told me "if I have to tell you to get off the bleachers again, you're outta here."

I'm glad pretty much everyone in the sections behind goal eventually got up onto the bleachers so I didn't stand out as much. ;)

We really got into his head. I am convinced of that. The Dirty Sanchez chants pissed him off, but he was FURIOUS when he got hit with streamers.

When an opposition keepers turns around and points at the fans, you know you got him.

I thought it was pretty funny with the guy in the Mexico jersey that came in on Friday. He got cheered at pretty good but just kinda laughed it off.

Actually, that was a blast. I got into the middle of the Mexican fans and started jumping up and down with them, screaming USA as they were screaming Mexico.

I also borrowed the blow up doll with the Mexico kit and "Borghetti's mom is a bitch" or something like that in Spanish, and took it up to them so they could get a first hand look at it. They thought it was pretty funny.

And if that US fan posts here, thanks for letting me borrow it.

The Mexican fans I encountered were completely cool.

I really hope that the people parked next to us in the Blue Chevy SUV didn't do permanent damage to their car when they tried to jump their car with the fuse box. I don't know if they were drunk or what, but they asked me for a jump and I said no problem. After I got mine on, I told them to put the black on then the red than I started the car. When they started theirs, it wouldn't do a thing and I immediately thought 'bad starter.' So I turned my car off, undid my cables then walked over to their car.

Yeah, they had the cabled attached to the bolts on the side of the fuse box.

I hooked them up right myself and got them on their way.

No it wouldn't be cost-effective right away. However if more fixtures were held there, more revenue generated, one stadia at a time would seem reasonable. But yes the Crew would have to step up attendance.

It was just a thought - the HDC holds about 27,000 but they could theoretically convert the grassy.. knoll... into a 2nd upper deck with the right funds. Likewise CCS doesn't have endzone upper decks.

Here's to recruiting new Crew season tkt holders :D

Yeah. Our drunk buddy already paid us the $15 to replace the fried fuse. We kept it as a souvenier. Could've been much worse. Thanks for the help though.

    I like, very much.

One thing that kinda sucked -- some tables left without paying their tab. Two different waitresses commented that they'd had tables duck out.

I hope everyone tipped them very well -- I know service was slow at times, but it wasn't because they were hanging out playing Pong or something. They worked their asses off.

That's bull**********. O'Shaughnessy's threw one hell of a party for us, so I'm really disappointed to hear that some people pulled that crap.

Monty and the NE crew, thanks for hanging up the thank you note at O's on Sunday. You spoke for all of us who enjoyed their hospitality on Friday and Saturday nights (and well on into Sunday morning. :D)

I hope it wasn't done on purpose. A lot of people were drinking, so some people may have seriously accidentally forgot their tabs.
Personally I don't really remember leaving either night, but Chelsey told me Saturday that I tabbed out Friday night and the bar had my card Saturday so if they gave it back to me without tabbing it out that would be their fault.

If you're talking about the blue SUV behind my bald head here - it looks like you got jumped from both sides that night! :D

Was this the same drunk buddy that told me to wait to hook up the cables until after you got the SUV started?!?

Hey- thanks for the shade AFL - my bald head appreciated it...

    Nice meeting everyone there

    That note rocks.

It was nice to meet everyone, hopefully I'll be able to make it to more than 1 game every 4 years now.

Spot on. This was my first qualifier and to meet so many like minded soccer crazies from around the country was great. It was definitely cool hanging with the KC Brigade Friday night at the bar, as well as finally getting to meet some Rhino fans. I had a great time and a big part of that was due to the friendly attitude everyone had.

Also I want to give a big shout out to Garcia who invited the Minnesotans to his restuarant, Jack & Bennys. The food was excellent and we were all blown away when we asked for our bill only to find out our breakfast was free.

    Yeah, that was fun.

Loved how far we've come in ten years. We're becoming proper fans, aren't we just.

Oh, by the way - now that it's been ten years? If you come into the supporter section, expecting your assigned seats? You should have just stayed home.

    Oh, and ******** scalpers.

I've always loved this aspect of the US supporters groups - when we have a common cause, we set club rivalries aside and pull together. Awesome stuff.

BTW, hopefully many of you plan on coming down to Dallas for the MLS Cup, even if your team doesn't make the final. We've got some good things planned for the supporters.

    True, true, true.

The fact that the section was twice as large as both the baby and big A flags.... [tear]

Now the goal is to make that commonplace, not just the Big Games.

Since many of you had asked about O'Shaughnessy's perception of us and the possibility of people walking out, I thought I'd post for you some of the comments from Michelle Lewis, the manager there who worked with us to set all of this up, sent to Fid and I...

    "Rich and Andrew,
First I would like to thank you for choosing us to help celebrate your weekend!! Your group was a lot of fun to have- we loved the singing and jovial presence in our pub. The entire staff had excellent comments on the entire weekend and your group was polite and kind to our staff, which I truely value and greatly appreciate.

(The tailgate workers) have raved about how fun the tail-gate was and were especially pleased to be able to go to the game. You have no idea how much they appreciated going to the game. I wanted to thank you personally for making that possible. Top shelf, boys!!!

I also had a lovely time at the game, and must admit you've made me even more of a soccer fan. I never thought I'ld say this, but I didn't even care that I gave away my OSU/Miami tickets.

We look forward to future events with your group, and we will remember well the need for numerous kegs of Guinness, ect. You boys can certainly booze it up!! Believe me, this has been noted for future party orderings! I hope that you all enjoyed your time here as much as we enjoyed having you!

Again, thank you for being such lovely guests and super-fun party-goers!

    Cheers,
    Michelle Lewis"
