PDC refused a 9 million offer from West Ham for Benni. He had said before and i quote: "Devo falar chinês. McCarthy tem uma cláusula de nove milhões euros e acabou a conversa". In my opinion this is wrong. You said you would let him go for that money, then the offer comes in and you reject it. If indeed he did recieve a 9 million offer, this is wrong and potentially very bad for the club to have such an unhappy player after he learns this. I know I'm a Porto fanatic but surely most players would rather play for Porto rather than West Ham? I understand most players want to go to the EPL but if I were a player I would choose a team like Porto which participates in Europe regularly and has a winning tradition, than a club like West Ham.
Well PDC probably thinks we need McCarthy to make it out fo the group stages of the CL. I think it's a mistake not to sell him.
