it's been over a year now, with another full season under an aging body and recovered from a tough injury that took him months to overcome...

Couldn't we just use Bruno Alves instead?

And Dédé... how old is he?

I think we're going to stick with Bosingwa... once he recovers.

    uh... I'm sure he's GOOD...

... or at least BETTER than what we currently have!!

...then again maybe not. Maybe he'll just be a USEFUL sub.

    Yeah that's it... a benchwarmer.

A talentless, no name nordic hack

    He probably sucks. :D

LOL....what can i say the media is coming up with name from every angle. At the end of the day we will see who signs who? I am sure Porto will pick up somebody. Sporting has done some splash and so has Benfica.

PDC refused a 9 million offer from West Ham for Benni.
He had said before and i quote: "Devo falar chinês. McCarthy tem uma cláusula de nove milhões euros e acabou a conversa".

In my opinion this is wrong. You said you would let him go for that money, then the offer comes in and you reject it. The player can't be happy, and sometimes is better to let him go then to keep a player that doesn't want to stay.

If indeed he did recieve a 9 million offer, this is wrong and potentially very bad for the club to have such an unhappy player after he learns this. I know I'm a Porto fanatic but surely most players would rather play for Porto rather than West Ham? I understand most players want to go to the EPL but if I were a player I would choose a team like Porto which participates in Europe regularly and has a winning tradition, than a club like West Ham.

Well PDC probably thinks we need McCarthy to make it out fo the group stages of the CL. I think it's a mistake not to sell him.

An unhappy and bitter Benni wont be useful to us. I hope PDC knows what he is doing.

I think his contract also ends at the end of this season (not sure about that though). Plus there's the time he will miss for the African cup.

So West Ham has confirmed this. Ouch. What's PDC gonna say about this one? The money he asked for was there!

Sure none of our current strikers are yet as good as Benni is, but I would love to just see a guy like Almeida get a huge opportunity to be regular striker along with Postiga.
