"Mizuno Wave MD Silver/Navy" The Silver and blues or the blacks look amazing! I was just wondering if anyone knows anywhere else they sell them besides PDS. I dont know how to post pics so if someone could please do that. They are on the front page of the PDS when you click Mizuno. Any other information would be great. Thanks in advance. www.prodirectsoccer.com
There's been a bunch of talk of these boots in this forum, mainly good, and it's werid I don't think they even sell those in america. I've never seen anyone wearing them and at present I play 3x a week in 3 different leagues, and i see a lot of people, and not once these boots. Just an observation...
I must be one of the few people in America with Mizuno boots. I have the Mizuno Wave from last year, and they are great boots. Soft, great feel, water-resistant, and comfortable. I got them while I was in Italy, so I didn't have to pay shipping charges.
i wore a pair of mizuno morelia wave last season, and they are real light comfortable and have realy good cushioning but it just dindt fit my feet very well so i sold it away.
I bought one of my sons a pair of Morelia's a few month's ago. Cost me about $20 to get them shipped to the US. His foot is a bit smaller than mine so I have not worn them but he loves them.......I will say that the quality of workmanship is second to none. He loves being the only person with those boots! We participate in soccer all over the country and have only seen one other pair of Mizuno's in the states..........At the Disney showcase a couple of years ago......
I see a lot of rugby players here in Vancouver wearing Mizunos - you can actually find some top models in our "Soccercity" shops. Though, I very rarely see any soccer players wearing them, too.
I spent quite a bit of time looking on google for stores with the new Waves but was unsuccessful. I have the Wave Cup Rivaldos and would have to say no other boot is quite like it, as light as vapor (prob 5-10 grams off but who's really gonna notice) and way more comfortable. during the week I train with ventos and manias and come the weekend playing in teh Wave Cups I can really notice the difference between each boot I wear. Has anyone out there got both the Wave Cup and the Wave Morelia? Just interested to know if they're the same length width and fit coz I'll be looking to get the new Wave's when my Rivaldos die later on... again can not speak more highly of the top of the range mizuno, despite the cost involved no other boot with or without gimmicks can match them IMO.
I had the Mizuno Wave Cup Pro's for last year's season, and they were a solid boot. I bought them from PDS, and I had spent a year looking for a place to buy Mizuno boots, and PDS was the only place I found them. It's a real bummer, but trust me on that one, you won't find them anywhere else. PDS is a good company tho, and you can trust them. You'll also get a lot of attention if you play in the U.S. When I played I was asked constantly where I had gotten them; a lot of people I played against didn't even know that Mizuno made soccer equipment, so be prepared for that.
I forgot to say a couple things about the Wave Cup's themselves: They were really light, like someone else mentioned, and fit really well. I have really thin feet, so I don't know how they would do for someone with wide feet. They're made of real good quality leather that dries quickly, so you don't have to worry about taking care of the nasty smell you sometimes get after playing in the rain. I would recommend these to someone in the striker spot, because of the lightweight aspect of the boot, as well as for the sock-like feel of the boot.
I own both the Morelia waves and the Rivaldo Wave Cups. The Rivaldos seem to run a bit small because I have an 8.5 (UK) in the Morelia which are perfect and a pair of size 8 (UK) Rivaldos which are extremely tight.... In fact I think if I buy another pair of Rivaldos I will skip the 8.5 and go for a 9 (UK) to be safe. I have worn everything and Mizuno is by far the best; they are comfortable, attractive, possibly the lightest leather cleat available and they have the wave sole which provides excellent cushioning. I just got a new pair of of silver Morelia Waves (210 grams) and I am thinking about getting a pair of Morelia 2's like Zanetti and Aimar wear this fall. I will let you know what I think of the Morelia 2's once I get them.
They sell Mizunos here in Hawaii. A bunch of my friends have worn them. Very popular with the Japanese here.
Hey to anyone who might be interested there's these on ebay right now http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5233782068&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT
Mizuno soccer boots are really second to none. I'd played with the Morelia MD/II and Wave Cup. Recently got a pair of the Neogrando FG from PDS, yet to try out but I wouldn't hv any regret! THe upper materials are of the finest Kangaroo leathers. The classic Morelia MD has very soft uppers tho' the outsoles are narrower than say Copas. It will be an instant fit even the first wearing. Meanwhile the Wave Cups, Neogrado/Neogrando uses washable Kangaroo which is equally good, has a standard last ie. a little wider than the Morelias. THe Morelias Wave combined the classic and Wave tech + the Dynamic Foot Contour features. Check out www.mizunoeurope for more details. OF course, in Japan, there are more models to choose from. Even the Morelias have few models ie. Morelia II, M8, UL, EL, JP & E You can check them out at www.mizunosoccer.com or www.mizuno.co.jp It's one of the most sought after boots in the Continental & South America pros. Cheers.
I just bought a new pair of them in the black colorway, i will post a review soon if people are interested. Should be here in about 10 more days from the UK.
what is diffent about the EL, JP and Es? I think the ELs look great but aren't they synthetic leather? I know they weigh in a 220 grams but what cna you tell me about them JPs and Es?
I suppose: UL = ultra light EL = extra light JP = limied edition for 1998 world cup ES = ??? M8 = ??? II = international MDs Basically all same shoe last, flat footbed/insole, K-leder, conical studs, different forefoot stitching, different weight, all manufactured in Japan. But for the Morelia Wave, it has a contoured/anatomic last, same K-leder, wave cushioning are rearfoot, VS-1 cushioning insoles, bladed-sole plate. Hope the above helps. Excellent choice boot! Cheers, KSM
okay i just got my Mizunos (Morelia Wave, black) but at the moment dont have a digital camera. I think i will post pics by this weekend along w/ a full review.
Cassano if you live in N.Y. i think it would be cheaper if you got them of www.prosportuk.com, b/c although it says they are 99 pds. when i bought them they were only 85 shipping was 20 but the total was only 105, a lot cheaper then PDS. They also have the silvers. It is cheaper then the 120 of PDS. Got them in about 1 week and a half. No problems, worth a try IMO.
