I believe that Reid and Keane (who have a great understanding with each other) can play behind Defoe. They can inter-switch flanks and come into the centre also. Why doesn't Jol use another system?!

Is he becoming a bit of a Sven? The game has moved on.

I play for a 3rd division club and even we have moved up in our way of thinking.

With Kuyt staying at Feyenoord, Livorno rejecting a bid for Lucarelli the latest names are Sydney Govou and Wiltord Lyon after they spent £10m on a Brazilian striker.

Wiltord ... wow, how low have we sunk. I said before that I didn't think we'd replace Kanoute for the money he left for, but we did get a decent amount for him. Now I see 3 strikers and one (Mido) really being pivitol. I definitely can see some rankled feathers as well, because everyone knows Jol will add a 4th striker eventually. If/when Mido leaves at the end of his loan period, we'll be looking for another target forward as well. Having Kanoute through all this sure does look appealing in hind-sight, but if Jol felt Kuyt was the answer, I can't really blame him for going for Kuyt.

My older brother was born in Nicosia. What a small world it is. Have never been myself as my dad was in the military when my brother was born.

Would actually like to go just to see what it is like but we don't always get what we want. :(

......We don't get many tourists from North America as the Dollar is useless here. For every Cyprus Pound I get $2.10. So if I brought £500,000, I would be a millionaire in the states. Yay!! :D

Bad news for those hoping for a last minute transfer, and good news for all Feijenoord supporters.

    source: Official Feyenoord Site

If he really wanted to leave, he could have forced a transfer. If that had happened he would only have gone to Spurs. That is what he said in an interview. He thinks Tottenham is a beautiful club with history and tradition, plus Martin Jol is the coach, someone who he thinks can make him a better player.

Only one more year for us though, which sucks. He's got 3 goals in 3 games, hopefully he can continue this and get us a prize together with Kalou (oh yeah, the others too ;))

HAHA! He wouldn't have gone to you club Graeme. How does that make you feel bitch? :D

Seriously though, congrats on the Owen deal. A silver lining eh Graeme. You guys deserve some good news. Maybe jay (is it?) on your board can be taken off the suicide watch now.

I'd rep you but the effing message about spreading myself about keeps coming up and I whore myself out for no man! Never again anyway. So one of you 'orrible lot on here will have to do it for me.

Don't not do it and think I'll forget cuz Jol is watching:

Well i guess i'll just have to wait until January or next summer to see Dirk in a black and white shirt.

It's nice to see all the Man U and Liverpool fans pretending that they didn't really want Owen after all and he's crap now.

Jaypro hasn't been on today. I think he may have died from shock or joy.

You can forget about a january-transfer, because Kuyt is a man of his word. Well, he has been up untill now, you never know what might happen in the future. But if he says he's staying the whole season, then he really is staying the whole season. My bet is Feijenoord and Kuyt have struck an agreement where they won't sell him untill after the World Cup. His market value will probably skyrocket (unless he's really crap at the WC, but he won't be) and he himself will probably get a better basic salary, so everybody wins.

And windmills do not work that way! Goodnight.

Santos home is white, but Santos away is black and white stripes. So he can only play in the away games :D

We may even sign him just before the World Cup. Have any of you thought of that?

He stated that this could well be his last season with the Rotterdamer's, and by saying that he mean't that this is definitely his last season with them.

Seems like a very loyal guy. He couldn't possibly have an agent then.

If Mido doesn't crack up to be what we all think he can be, we should hoof him off back to Roma at the end of the season and spend what needs to be spent in order to bring him (Kuyt) in.

It would be stupid of Feijenoord if they sell him before the World Cup. His value will likely go up after his WC performance, but even if he performs crap his value certainly won't drop. If they would sell him before the WC, it would be very bad for business.

And he does have an agent, just not a greedy one. :D
