Re: Transfer Rumours/News Apparently PDC and FC Porto are giving Nuno Valente an ultimatum - either quit the NT or quit FC Porto. I guess they feel he's far too injury prone/unconditioned to play for both causes. They obviously want him to leave - hell, what player would want to quit they're NT careers? Most players play well for their clubs to have the chance to play for their national teams. Sorry FC Porto, but the NT needs Nuno Valente. Only if Scolari woke up and smelled the coffee. Caneira? He's not left-footed ffs. P. Ferreira - same applies here.

Porto receberia 5.4, dado que três seriam automáticos (pelo investimento inicial feito na compra ao Celta de Vigo) e 2.4 viriam de 55% do montante remanescente, sendo que 10% da totalidade pertence à Gestifute, do empresário Jorge Mendes; 25% do remanescente (neste caso 1.5 milhões) iriam para o Celta de Vigo, 10% desse mesmo remanescente para o jogador e outros 10% para a empresa do agente Rob Moore. Re: Transfer Rumours/News I love how McCarthy's agent makes Porto look like such an evil organization that wont allow his client to go and play in a "superior league." Does he fail to realise clubs that are interested are not making it worthwhile for Porto to sell him? Of course he does, but I love the picture this whole situation has painted of Porto as some uncompromising entity and McCarthy as some poor victim. Maybe if he and his agent shut their mouths, and just tear it up in the Superliga, other clubs will actually start offering more money and then finally we can get rid of him for a decent price. Hopefully this does not become a huge distraction for the club.

He made a stink to get out of Ajax, he made a stink to get out of Celta de Vigo, and now he's doing it in Porto. I don't know what it is with the guy - either he is never satisfied, or his agent is never satisfied

Re: Transfer Rumours/News it's a smart move in my opinion if we invest the money wisly. We've made some money (remember that he was over 30) and an injury prone player left. Nice to see how all around the public opinion in Portugal Valente became the best LB! It seems that the days that everyone claimed that Portugal lacked a decent LB are far behind...
