Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread Combined with the fact that Armas just plain sucks. I hope O'Brien recovers quickly.
Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread Are you saying New England does not play another game until they play us? Lazy bastages. Landon sure as hell didn't waste any energy last night, he should be fresh for this game. Hopefully, he's just as effective. Will the stands still be filled with mad El Salvadorans?
Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread Wow. We're now just 4 back with a game in hand. One more win and we're breathing right down their necks.
Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread Too bad there aren't Jumbo Trons facing either Goal. Run a loop of Gori doing Hartman. Somebody please remember the Gori chants every time Hartman handles the ball
Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread If you wanna stay alive, stay alive, stay alive, if you wanna stay alive go home landon
Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread Plus they've put 16 points into Chica's making their season amost over except for being a spoiler. Here's hoping they stick it to Metros.
Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread Because now, neither DC or LA have a Salvadorian on their squad anymore. They can come to root against both teams.
Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread I wouldn't even call that a rugby tackle. It was more like a karate wall chop to the esophagus. In rugby union the tackler must wrap the arms around the victim, er, tacklee, for it to be a legal tackle. Decapitation is a red card in both sports.
Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread What is just as bad is the picture of Donovan. I'm running on the mall Tuesday morning and I come up upon a water fountain. As I bend to drink that image of Donovan comes in my mind. I could hardly drink. Is there an excorsist who can burn that image out of my mind permanently?
Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread Another solid performance by Tino with the NATS to help his confidence grow and a tired Landon, Saturday's looking good. 3-0 DC, a goal by each corner of the new magic triangle (Jaime, Gomez, Q).
Wilson Does anyone else think Wilson should start? I think he has been awesome the last couple games he has played.
Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread The old RDA thing, but I doubt they'll come out because theres nobody to yell at.
Re: Wilson You'd have to start him ahead of Namoff/Prideuax or perhaps even Erpen now...I don't see it. I wouldn't mind seeing him start instead of Brandon, but he seems to be okay for this week. I wouldn't be shocked to see Wilson start against FCD in the cup game...
Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread Reading the LA/DC pre match thread on their boards almost makes me feel sorry for them. Almost .
Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread a friend of mine gave me two of his tickets for saturday's game. unfortunately the only person i know who enjoys the game enough to be interested in going isn't available. even the apathetic 'it is something to do' crowd rejected me at every turn. so, i feel that one good turn deserves another. something was given to me and i would be remiss not to pass it on to someone else. if you are interested in the ticket, pm me and i can give you more detail. and don't worry, i'll be cheering for dc.
Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread The amount of loathing and self-hatred in that thread is sublime. They take suckitude to a whole new level. Let's win by 3, get Sampson fired, and save them from themselves.
Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread Whose Fans hate their team more? Gals or MetroS***?
Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread Resistance to DC United is pointless. Especially if you posture like you are a superclub and rivals to a truly dominant club. As much indigestion as the Rongen V.1b and Hudson years gave, they got LA and Metro fans stoked up into thinking they actually had something to offer us in terms of rivalry. I consider them "stoking" or "stroking" years. Now we can relish tearing down the last few threads of credibility/self-esteem that those fans constructed during a few years of very temporary improvement relative to our club. The way I look at it, part of DC's role as purveyors of winning soccer in the US is to fully reveal the inadequacies of coaches and organizations like LaLaGals and MetroTards so that MLS can skim away the dross and emerge stronger as a league. Unfortunately, the powers-that-be have replaced the mediocre - Sigi and Zambrano - with the truly horrendous - Sampson and (Nowak-less and Wilt-less) Bradley - and heaped even more more shame and disappointment on the pathetic fans of these organizations.
Re: Official LA Galaxy @ DC United PRE Match Thread How bout a rendition of "You will never walk alone" just to bring back the nightmares...
