For those of you in Canada or in the US that can receive Canadian stations, the Chelsea vs. Arsenal match is being shown on The Score.

At least we can watch for free (if you have cable) up north . . . it makes me feel so much better since the Yanks aren't giving back the $5B in softwood lumber duties. ;)

now that's actually quite funny... did you see the first game? we actually should have done better... 1 unmarked header, we did so well the entire game and we let that boy get 1 header and goal, and then of course, that long shot that had no right going in, none!!! I'm hoping we do a bit better this time around, but I honestly don't think we've got it in us... even if we do pick the best team.

Thanks to the last few posters for getting the thread back on track. I hope that the "troll wars" is not the direction that every game thread takes this season. BORING!!

BOT: This should be a good match. I wish I could say I see the Arsenal winning, but I think a 1-1 draw is how it feels. RvP, the boy that does not know the word "intimidation" will nick one. Hey, if DC United can score one, we should be able to!

He has every right to be upset, but it's a fact that he is our 3rd choice CB. Not b/c he is worse than Gallas, but b/c as a pair, Terry and Gallas are just better than Terry and Carvallho. If he wants to leave, he will go next year, when we get Alex.

Don't buy the press BS. He scored 2 against Chel$ki at highbury last season and has a very good scoring record against them. He also has scored plenty of goals against Manure as well over the years. If there is one player that strikes fear in those defenses, it is Le Capitan. He'll show up alright.

but he also missed the golden chance to give Arsenal the lead. TH14 doesn't have the best track record in big games, which is why I want him to prove me wrong

Tsk tsk Bluto......you're going to force IORP to come down on you with his statistics on Henry's goal scoring against "top teams."
    ;)

Seriously, the stats belie the notion that Henry doesn't "show up" against good teams. Yes, he missed that sitter late in the match last year against Chelsea....but all strikers miss sitters every once in a while. Think of the first goal he scored in that same match....it was spectacular....settling a high ball almost instantly and then half volleying it in the corner.

I have no doubt Henry will be up for this match. I am much more worried about whoever his strike partner is showing up and whether our midfield can provide good service.
