We don't really know what's going on. For all we know, Nuno is still has the beer gut and refuses to work it off and Co is not impressed.
Co already said that an internal problem is preventing him from calling Nuno so the beer belly is gone.....PDC still has his.

Well, it seems it has to choose between FC Porto and the NT... --» http://www.ojogo.pt/21-172/artigo489746.htm Its tough for the player but the truth is, last season he made 10 games for us we had to buy another left defender (Leandro) in January and we were the one´s paying him his salary...when we all know he picked his injury when he was with the NT and the NT said it was nothing serious... yeah right only 6 months... Despite all this i don´t agree with PdC but i certainly can understand his position mainly due to the FC Porto medical reports saying Nuno Valente can´t play for both FC Porto and NT without a serious injury risk.
Scolari should have called him regardless....... He is one of the best LB in portugal if not the best.
Beer gut or not, he is the best LB in Portugal. At times, I thought he was a Left forward and his crosses are simply amazing. Almost C. Ronaldo type crosses.
He proved himself in the Euro....Portugal needs him, now if Porto doesn't want to play him, better for me.
This is an unfortunate situation. When Nuno was healthy, he demonstrated over and over that he is without question the best LB playing in Portugal. Porto could really use him so I wish PDC would just chill out a bit about all this.
