Marcus shuts down a two on one breakaway, moving out and smothering the dribbler just outside the six yards box. Good stuff.
Reading have a couple nice shots quickly, but still 0-0 about 25 in.

All Reading. Marcus has taken up fly fishing (very wet field, no action). Reading missing way too many open chances. Walsall are playing give-away, and reading are knocking it all goal with amazing pace, but nothing is getting in.
For the folks in Reading, why is Salako on the bench? Just a rest?

HT 0-0. Complete shame, really. We should have 2, at least.

Marcus charges, has to stretch to block a chip. The game is swinging to Walsall in the early minutes of the second half.

70 min. still 0-0. Game is back to Reading. Marcus makes an easy saves on one of Walsall's few chances as I'm typing.

Wrapping up, Walsall's best chance of the day in injury time, free-kick 19 yards out, just left of center. Shot hits the bar, rebound shot blocked, re-crossed in and Marcus claims. Glad he was still awake.

FT 0-0 Reading dominated in shots, possession, free kicks, everything. Too bad we go to a replay. Fair result would have been 4-0 (okay, 2-0).

So Reading regulars, give us a report. On radio, sounded as if Marcus could have sold sausage rolls through most of this game. Was Walsall that horrible, or Reading that good?
Also, are we about to lose Curo? Are they considering the 400,000, or do they finally like the goalscorer? Please tell.

Yep, first "leg". no extra time.

Second "leg", other team hosts, goes to extra time and penalties if needed.

This lasts to I believe the semifinal round in the FA Cup.

In the past games were replayed until one team won. The most I've seen is three replays but the most was for a game in the 4th qualifying round between Alvechurch and Oxford City.

"In 1971-72, in their second year in the F.A. Cup, 'Church reached the first round proper after an 11 hour marathon in the Fourth Qualifying Round against Oxford City. This tie is now recorded in the 'Guinness Book of Records'. However, Alvechurch went down 4-2 to Aldershot after a brave struggle in a match that was the 12th in three weeks for some of the team. "

It should be pointed out that the figure of a 12th match includes league matches, there were 'only' 6 games (5 replays, 4 going to extra time) in that cup tie.

He's not been performing in recent months apparently, and the youngster Tyson is seizing the opportunity.
