Sorry for the delay, but a lot of editing was involved (i.e. criminal evidence being destroyed, people being bribed to secrecy). I finally have the photos up for your viewing. Enjoy! Romeo's Austria Pre-Season Photos
Nice photos. I like Wenger's shirt. Notice where the crest is. Now if we could get the rest of the shirts to use that placement.
I have to ask because everywhere I went, people got a chuckle when they read it. I had to explain to them that it's actually the name of an Indie-Rock group. Are you familiar with them?
Brilliant stuff Romeo. Thanks for working with Bob and Rick to get the banner signed. It's truly a sight to behold.
Damm right! I recently purchased a Bizarro LP on ebay. Got to get a copy of Seamonsters w/extra tracks though. I got to see them live in Montreal April 27th (should have brought earplugs!). My ears were ringing for about 3 days after the show. Even met David Gedge after the show (he signed a copy of Take Fountain for me).
Awesome pics, thanks for posting them, and thanks for working to get the banner signed, come to the Globe in Chicago and I'll buy u a beer or two.
nice photos.. you're definitely not shy! and yes nice Weddoes shirt. Gedge lived here in seattle last year (though moved to just outside of Brighton a few months ago). He's actually dating a friend of a friends (that's why he lived here, even broke up her marriage, how wedding present).. she's 28 though, robbing the cradle! I only got to meet him a few times, he was never very chatty though.
Thanks for the photo's Romeo. It was a great trip, glad you enjoyed it and had a good time. Looking forward to when you manage to make it over next time!! Gunners 11 - re your "proud to be a hooligan" bit - sorry but thats pathetic. It isnt clever, funny or sensible. They have given football here a really bad name and obviously you haven't got the intelligence to realise that. Grow up - if you think hooliganism is funny, you really need to get a grip and see the damage it has done to football.
LOL. I can't believe he did that. He wasn't really chatty when I met him either. Actually, he was a little shocked because I bought 5 CD's (Take Fountain & 4 Cinerama cd's) & the shirt that night after the show. Forgot to tell him that the 5 CD's were the ones I was missing from TWP/Cinerama collection (they're a little difficult to find here). If you run into him, can you please tell him for me? I'm sure he'll remember me. As for the photos, give all the credit to Rick. He certainly is persistant. Every time a player was about to board the bus, he would ask them to pose for a photo with me (he's the one who took most of the photos of me w/players).He did the same when it came to the Arsenal America banner getting signed.
It is awesome that Dennis posed for a picture with you. You should frame that one. I know that I would.
Wedding Present, sigh. One of the most under rated British bands. Same with the Fall. Aquired tastes I guess.
Rick and everyone else, sorry if I offended you. My sig is not in reference to actual hooliganism, some of my friends and I who are Chicago Fire fans call ourselves hooligans as a joke. I totally agree with what you said about the damage it has done to football, sorry I pissed you off.
