    Hey guys! Sounds like we did well. To bad i couldn't watch the game.

    Did Co go with 2 or 3 strikers?

    I heard Leandro came off on a stretcher! is he ok? i bet Co wishes he brought Valente now lol.

    So who looked really good and who looked really bad?

    Good game, i was impressed! Good attacking combinations, with Lisandro, Jorginho, Postiga, McCarthy. Raúl Meireles made a good game, Helton was solid, overall it was a very good test against a good team.
    On the second goal Hugo Almeida showed how he can be crucial in any team, Leandro was certainly faster than Nuno Valente ever was, he only needs to improve is defensive skills, i believe Nuno Valente will have problems to regain is spot.
    We have a great squad, now lets get rid of César Peixoto, loan 1 striker and 1 central defender and we will have our 25 men.

    Loan out 1 striker? Who do you think it should be? Almeida? Sokota? Ivanildo?

    And which Central defender: Bruno Alves? Pepe?

    I still think Sokota was a wasted signing.

    Well, Ivanildo will play at left winger so we will need him, its really an hard decision, had we sold McCarthy and everything would be fine...I like Hugo Almeida and i cannot see why he should lose his place on the squad to Sokota but if we aren´t going to give him opportunitties i rather see him on loan, at least he will have more chances of being called to the NT and the WC...But with Co Adriaanse we never know, he didn´t gave much chances to Sokota...maybe Sokota will be the man out, just like Sandro...
    About the central defender situation, i think we should loan Pepe, he is a good player but he had several opportunitties last season and didn´t impressed me, he needs more experience, besides that i want Bruno Alves to get playing time with us.

    Sokota was a waste. Just to stick it to Benfica i am sure.

    sokota, Pepe and Pexioto should leave and Bruno Moraes should go on loan.

    One thing for sure this coach seems to be able to do what he pleases. If players don't perform they will be loaned or on the bench.

    I think we will have an interesting season.


    Anybody knows what happen to Couceiro.

    Sokota was free, and how funny could it be if he scored a goal vs benfica?! I think its worth it just for the fun it might get ^_^

    Free signing but they still have to pay him. It wouldn't be funny to me. I never liked him, he is not a great goal scorer.
