for each point we lose in a game (we lost 2 last night vs the Revs), a season ticket holder should vow to not renew tickets

GM - don't get in the way of the Sampson witch-hunt with common sense.

The Galaxy are awful. Even if we would have won, it would be an aberation.

No player can play for Sampson - who is really mind-controlled by Doug Hamilton - who can't breathe without first asking Tim Leiwekie for permission.

    See?

    Resistence is futile.

They have it all figured out on this board.

Well Fems, spout sarcasm and be satisfied with the status quo if you'd like, but many of don't share your complacency. We want a team that wins. If that's too much to ask, we want a team that plays soccer well. It's not an unreasonable expectation for a team that has the highest salary in the league.

Someone has to be blamed for the horrible soccer we've been playing. Steve is the coach. He got guarded praise at the beginning of the season when it looked like we might have turned a corner, and now he's getting deserved criticism for our regression over the last 10(?) weeks. Hamilton fired Sigi and hired Steve. The move hasn't payed off thus far. He too deserves criticism. This isn't a conspiracy theory. It's a reality.

Re: the recent game in New England: Are we supposed to be thrilled with a road draw? Against a team that was missing two if it's most potent offensive weapons? After packing it in at halftime and bunkering a la the KC of old? I'm sorry if I'm not gushing over such a brilliant road performance. I guess I expect too much.

There's a difference between being thrilled and bitching about a road tie.

It's not easy to win on the road against any team in MLS. A road tie where fans of the visiting team gripe about "losing" two points and call for season ticket holders to cancel based on that result is ridiculous.

Bunkering? You saw a different second half than I did. Or did you watch the game?

Kiro was suspended - Albright was out of form and still in recovery from his injury - Donovan was back with the team for the first time in weeks - and Ty goes down with an injury in the first five minutes.

I saw a team pull together and pull out a result.

Not the freaking apocalypse some here see.

Why is the choice between griping and gushing? Can't we both note the positives and areas of improvement?

They did bunker down later in the second half(i'd say min. 65-75 they started) There was no need to attack shown by the guys(except Albright, but he was subbed, and he was a midfielder?) It just seemed like they were ok with the draw, when they could've gone for the win.

those are excuses........there's been excuses since the 1st game of the year in Columbus. these excuses are just played out.......there always seems to be some lame reason to give for the result.

graduate of the Steve Sampson school of spin?

Looking at both the good and the bad...

I was pleased with the one point in New England, but on the other hand, after watching the DC-Chelsea game and the Chicago-Milan game, both of those teams looked organized and dangerous while against Real we were running around like headless chickens.

I don't know what the solution is. For that matter, I don't know how Chicago is getting its results with the roster it has. On paper, they don't look that impressive. Maybe it is the coaching.

when Sampson was hired, Doug said:

    Last week Doug said:

Hamilton must have taken spin lessons from the Clinton and Bush administrations.

    translated into english.........

.........We really dropped the ball this year. I hope this team makes the playoffs. If we do then I can generate a false buzz around our playoff hopes. I can charge the fans that come for the tickets because they used up a bonus ticket for the Real game. As long as we get in. I know we won't advance out of the 1st round. And who cares if we do anyway becasue those games won't be at the HDC so its not like I'm going to make any money off of them. I just need that one home playoff game to hit numbers like the last two years. oh god please help my team get into the playoffs. I know lots of galaxy fans can't say no to a game no matter how bad the team is. Besides, it'll be one and out and then they will all forget. Then come next season they'll have to buy season seats again because I'm trying to create a soccer monopoly here. the people love me.........i got rid of horns.

It's the coach. We have the quality players, quality field. The team is making money. The coach stinks.
