Apparently he didn't feel welcome anymore in Göteborg so FCK decided to take advantag of that and the ongoing tax thing to get him for cheap. He has been cleared of any taxfraud, since the judge couldn't find any real proof of him knowingly commiting the tax fraud. Basically the IRS people raided the IFK headquarters and Ijehs home and found two contracts, both signed by him. One of them had no sign-on fee and a whatever wages they said he was being paid. The other had a substantial sign-on fee and higher wages. So he was being paid under the table, so to speak. That's the gist of it anyway.
At the same day Ijeh signed for Göteborg he got a "gift" of 1.25 million SEK (aprox 130.000 Euro) from the financial chief in IFK Göteborg. IRS claims this is payment, not a gift.
I dont see a problem there, they still got Mourad and Selakovic. Even thou Selakovic might not be a top class striker he is good enough for the Scandinavian leagues, and will probably now get to play as a striker instead as a winger.
But Mourad has only scored once in 12 games, and he has been in the starting eleven in almost all of those games. Selakivoc hasn't been on fire either. Goal scoring remains a problem for IFK.
true but at the same time Selakovic has actually scored more goals than Ijeh this season... Everyone goes trough patches during the season, Mourad will bounce back for sure.
