This is the last post before I fly to Korea for a week. I (my wife) could not fit going to the Suwon match on 7/6 in my schedule. I will try to 랩 when I can in Korea. I've got Seol & Cha - great players for KNT IMO. Hey, KT. Keep Korea safe from NK while I am there for a week, eh? I've got 17 children to feed back in the USA.
No problem. We will keep our country safe forever. 전우가 사수한 NLL, 우리가 지킨다! (Note: NLL stands for 북방한계선.)
hm... one might take advantage of the circumstances then... geez, you've been busy haven't you, you womaniser you
What do you mean? I definitely recall him saying that he has one son. I might be wrong about the exact age, but it was in the teens.
it was just a joke on rkim's original comment (of having 17 kids), I didn't know you'd take it seriously
so what is everyone doing this morning/afternoon/evening? I'm contemplating whether to go play tennis or watch War of the Worlds
I'm drinking some homebrew. I'd usually watch the Dodger game, but they played during the day, and I already know the score.
Cool, what kind of equipment do you need to brew your own beer? I've seen some kits at Fry's Electronics, but I'm not sold on em.
WTF? Why would Fry's sell homebrewing equipment? That is baffling. Anyway, it all depends on how simple or complex you want to make it. The simplest would be to use malt extract (it's like a syrup) and only boil just enough water to dissove it. So, you'd need a 2 gallon pot to boil some water, a 5 gallon plastic bucket with a top to ferment the beer in. You will need various tubing to transfer the fermented beer into bottles. So, you would need empty beer bottles, caps, and a capper. Where do you live? Most major cities have a homebrew shop, and you can buy a kit that has all you need. It'll cost about $50 for the kit. About $30 of material and you can have 5 gallons of beer. The $30 would be the cost incurred each time you brew. The $50 is a one time cost for the equipment. The most important thing is to keep everything clean and sanitized, so that the only thing fermenting the beer is the yeast, not bacteria or wild yeasts floating around in dust in the air. My cost each time is about $12, because I culture my own yeast, and I use whole malted barley, which I turn into liquid malt. But you need additional equipment to do that.
I live in Seattle, there should be a few shops here I've read a couple articles in the past 10-20 minutes and I'm going to try it sometime in August. It sure beats the hell out of paying $15 for a 12 of hefeweizen or guinness. Thanks, Hyung Nim
Oh yeah, in Seattle, there should be plenty of shops around. Plus, you should be able to get some fresh local hops. Heck, if you had the room, you'd be able to grow your own hops. I can't grow hops here...too hot. Remember, sanitize, sanitize, sanitze. That way you avoid sour beer.
