patiently waiting - 50 cent with eminem

good hard song, but has a sort of steady, patient beat to it which seems to help with consistency

Papa Roach-Any one of their songs...

Basically, it's about rock. Hard rock, aggressive rock, energetic rock. The Booba song is actually a French rap song I saw in this 9 min. Cristiano Ronaldo video, it's fitting, so I listen to it...but no other rap. Rock.

We have a CD System in our changing room. Most of the time I pick the music because everybody else's sense in music is, well, crap. CD's I use regularly are:

    Linkin Park - Meteora
Lil Jon and The Eastside Boyz - Crunk Juice
Lil Jon and The Eastside Boyz - Kings of Crunk
Ying Yang Twins - Me and My Brother

I also have a couple of mix CD's. It quite often scares the s**t out of opposing team members, especially when we are at home they have to walk past our changing room hearing these 16 grown men going apes**t to a couple of tunes.

Me personally for at least the last 4 years I have gone onto the pitch to warm up with my Sony MiniDisc. Listening to music while warming up takes my mind off the match and puts me into a focused state. Without the music I often find myself thinking too much, having a good bit of Nas or Kanye West in the ear gets you focused on the inspirational words they are speaking rather than what's about to happen within the next 90 minutes.

Nobody has posted anything I like yet...and to the person who said Green Day was metal, get help dude.

I want an mp3 player pretty badly, but they seem to be rather expensive. Any music I listen to pre-game is in the car on the way there, but as far as what kind of stuff I like to listen to; It Dies Today and Alexisonfire are (in my opinion) the two greatest bands ever. I don't do nu metal crap, or rap.

OK, I don't understand most of this music. When I think of getting ready, I think of getting pi$$ed off and completely wild, not mellowing out. Of course, I am a goalkeeper, and I have to deal with alot of 1 on 1's which require aggressiveness. Anyway, rap is absolute crap - all that would do is give me a headache. I prefer something else other than rap - Have you heard of it? It's called "Music." Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin are two of the greatest bands ever, but just don't get me in a good kick-@$$ mood. About "It Dies Today" and "Alexisonfire," they are ok, but best bands ever? Please. I love metal, but there is better out there.

NOW - the best stuff for me to listen to before a game is absolute 100% in your face METAL AND HARD ROCK!!! Not Papa Roach or any of those guys, they're alright, but their music doesn't withstand the test of time - they make the songs everyone gets tired of in a month. I'm talking METALLICA - my favorite band by far, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE (although they aren't really metal or hard rock), GODSMACK is alright, DISTURBED, (Down With the Sickness is the ultimate pump up song), or KORN. There are some other good songs.

My ultimate songs I listen to are
    DON'T TREAD ON ME
    MASTER OF PUPPETS
    ONE
    BATTERY
    all Metallica

    AWAKE
    GREED
    by Godsmack

    Down With the Sickness
    by Disturbed

Now that that's over. Sorry that was so long. People who adore crappy music bother me. lol. That's your opinion. I live for two things: SOCCER and MUSIC.

    Oh yeah, and girls.

    just my opinion.
