    0-4 v persie

Oh boy.... this is really too bad for Finland.

If what many Dutch pundits have said is true, this Dutch team is bound to win the world cup next year. Get played off the park and win 0-4.

kuyt sends it over to van persie streaking down the left and he slots home a beauiful finish low and to the right

    0-4

I would be so pissed if I were a Finn.

Lucky to win 4-0, how weird is that? But I'll take it, great for our goal difference, especially against a fairly tough team. Hopefully, the Finns can steal some pts from the Czechs when they come to town . . .

Yup, more like almost 2 feet in even assuming a crappy result in the Czech Republic. If we go even 2-1-1 in our last 4, Oranje are in I think and more likely is 3-0-1 at worst. Finishing with one of the 2 best second place records is almost assured given that the toughest games are mostly behind us (except CR).

i'm not taking anything away, but let's try to realize that he comes on with romania and finland throwing everyone forward - good finish, nice counter play, job well done... but i've seen the tendency to get overly flowery about him lately, even people suggesting we bench kuijt for him (which is utter madness) - i'd just like to keep his achievement in perspective for 5 minutes

For a lesser note.. Lucius has a broken splint-bone and will be out for about 1.5-2 months. Melchiot (our third replacement for that position) was VERY BAD! he's not worth the orange shirt.

if not for the lovely counter, Finland ties it up. Great pass out of the area.

    Finland couldn't hold it together.

So Kuijt was one of the better players on the pitch again? Maybe I'll have to make a point to watch this match, even though I know what happens :p. Plus I want to see Brave Sir Robin's goal ;).

Agreed. He's playing as well now as he ever has. Gotten past his dodgy Juventus days.

Congrats to Cocu for his 90th cap (I think). Who would have though back in 98 that he would have that many?
