It's by far the best squad we've had in years. I don't think it does matter whether they are competing in Libertadores or no...at least it doesn't matter for Brazil. We should have around 33 players for these 2 WC qualifying and 23 (not 22) for the Confederations cup. As for D'Alessandro's inclusion, guys, give him some love. The guy didn't think he would get back to the national team that soon. He was planning on getting married in June, but when he knows that he's in, he changed his wedding date immediately. That's a real commitment. That's amazing considering there is no guarantee that that he would play in the 2 games.

So my team selection will the team that u have selected - Duscher + these 11.

Can't understand how Tevez, a HUGE BOMB IN BRAZIL, D' Alessandro, non exsistant this season at Wolfsburg, Kily, a bench warmer in Inter, and Samuel, a GALATIC FLOP are on the national team. How about the Gallardos, Viti's, and other players who are doing what has to be done!!!

Peckerman will likely add two goalies (probably Pato and Lux), plus Mascherano and Lucho. Probably no Gallardo this time. As far as Mono Mario's comment about Tevez, I think he's not getting much help at Corinthians, but he is too good a talent to ignore. He may be struggling, but he's still scored 12 goals for Corinthians (as of April 25), which makes him the third highest Argentine goal scorer this year, after Crespo at Milan, and Matias Vuoso in Mexico (again, as of April 25). Plus Tevez is not a pure goalscorer, he does so much more than score. I think if we play with two central strikers, one has to be either Crespo or Figueroa, and the other (the withdrawn striker) either Saviola or Tevez. And all four should be in the squad. My biggest issue with this list is that I would have chosen Solari over Kili. (Unless Solari is not 100 percent, which I'm not aware of.)

Actually he is one of the bests in the team right now that passarella is gone and the atmosphere there seems a little softer. Plus is the teams top socrer in the year. About Grafite, he will be sitting on the bench during the game.
Re: Argentina squad vs. Ecuador and Brazil That was due to an injury he had already suffered in the first game against palmeiras. So, correcting, Grafite is out of the seleção for these 2 games and will come back to the team in maybe 10 or 12 days. Julio Baptista was called for his place.
Re: Argentina squad vs. Ecuador and Brazil Great matchup today. Ecuador has won 19 of 21 points at home. They beat Brazil and only a tie against Peru kept them from being perfect so far. Besides the obvious advantage of the altitude they have a very dangerous team this year. On the other hand, if we beat them, we are officially the first team other than the host to make it to the WC. Tough match, but I think we can go in there and win.

If the Brazilians are so petty as to try to make something out of nothing by bringing their own water, then next time an Argentine club goes to Brazil they should reciprocate and make a point by taking their own policemen.
