On Thursday the body of Lewan Kaladze, a brother of Milan's Kakha Kaladze, was found in a collective tomb in western Georgia. There were also seven other bodies. Lewan was kidnapped in May 2001 by the Chechen mafia according to police. Eduard Shevardnadze ordered the searching of the bodies but none were found at the time. At the end of 2003 the Chechen goverment said that Lewan was alive and would soon be released. However the kidnappers didn't free him because his family had paid only $200.000 instead of requested $600.000. In the past Kakha criticised the searching that had been led by the Georgian police. A year ago he threatened he would renounce his Georgian citizenship and move to Ukraine to play for Dinamo Kiev. The father of the brothers, Karlo Kaladze, threatened he would commit suicide. All very sad. R.I.P and may Kaladze find peace.
