Well he didn't stick his leg out, his knee was bent, after all. The only thing that was nasty about it was that he had his studs up, then again, considering that he's not a ballet dancer and doesn't do pointed toes, that's hardly surprising. Look I'm not going to say Maestro is an angel, he's a tough and physical defender. But sometimes in football people get hurt, and in my view Maestro's fouls are nowhere near as nasty as those of people like Michael Mols, Stijn Vreeven and even Barry van Galen, for example.

Of course I'm not objective. But you'll find that many people actually agree with me on Maestro, including those in the know. It is also you who isn't objective. If this had been De Graafschap's left winger who got hurt you wouldn't even have mentioned it.

i may not have mentioned it, but i would still find it a wretched challenge worthy of censure... which you still unbelievably cannot admit

so fine, enjoy your day ma'am - i don't need your "football people" to take my stance for me to know what's right

Let's just agree to disagree. It just annoys me that when Twente players do get in the news it's always negative. As per bloody usual people don't rate our players until they move elsewhere - Collins John being a prime example.

with all due respect, the only one to blame for getting negative news right now is majstorovic - has such a tackle happened before? sure - have some of them been worse than this one? of course - do these poitns have anything to do with how bad this tackle was? no, absolutely none

he stuck his leg out, he went in studs up, he injured a player

there is nothing arguable about what happened here - i never called him a dirty or bad player or cursed him or made bad comments about the club, i simply said he should get in trouble for a tackle like that... plain and simple

Meanwhile at least Newcastle has noticed that he's actually a really good central defender. In Holland, outside Enschede, it seems no-one else has.

    Thank God for that!

It was actually a terrible, terrible first half from both PSV and Twente. And to be completely honest it was a fair result. Highlight for me was Vennegoor refusing to celebrate his goal. There's hope for his return home still.

God knows. We're left with nothing and minus our three best players next season. Back to normal I guess.

How is Twente economically? Will they have any funds to strengthen the squad during "silly" season?

A dream player for you guys would be Markus Rosenberg of Malmö FF, last season he played with Touma in Halmstad, and they alone almost produced the Championship for Halmstad.

At the moment Rosenberg has not scored as much as last season, many people are saying that one of the reason is that he misses the nice deliveries of Touma. With those together on the pitch, they can work wonders! It would be interesting to see how well they would do? Rosenberg had something like 16 goals and 10 assists last season, while Touma had 10 goals and 10 assists last season.

I don't know how much we can get for Maestro. Major priorities for us are a left back and a new central defender for Maestro at the moment. But I'm liking the idea I have to say!

yeah, i doubt that's gonna happen with his 4+ million euro tag - AJAX have been tracking him for a year and now arsenal are as well

I was so hoping for a Groningen win!

I hope we'll finish ahead of Fietstas at least. Question for the Dutch: did Studio Ajax show our Epi Drost tribute?

    No they didn't.....

But before you start another 'they're plotting against us' rant, let me remind you that they hardly show any of that stuff from any club.....

Oh they're not plotting against us specifically. Unless you're a) Ajax b) Feyenoord or c) a knuffelclub like Heerenveen or Fietstas, the lovely people of Studio Sport aren't really interested.

oh, and while I'm at it here:

Boo! I like him better than van den Ban anyways. You should take him instead. :D

He'll be second or even third goalkeeper I think! Boscher remains our no. 1. They got Wintjens mainly to ease the pressure on our 19-year old (up til now) second goalkeeper, the hugely talented Pasveer, son of the legendary Twente keeper Pasveer senior.
