That's what I was about to say... OK, maybe not the Bellion part :)

BTW, am I the only one who's kind of...jaded (for lack of better description) looking to this match? I mean, the race for the league title was buried way back, and the Champions League dream destroyed, but now we're in a position in the league where I think it's fair to say that no matter how brilliant or horrid our form, we're very likely to end in the same position.

There's the FA Cup final to look forward to... but that's actually about it for this year. All I can hope for is a brilliant performance from the usual suspects to stir some passion, but I predict that while I'll be fully behind the team, a boring 1-0 win just won't cut it for me.

1-0 would be great if it were a result of great full league debuts by our young champs, but if Ruud, Ron, Roy, Rio, Rooney & co only mustered 1 goal against a team we hit with 4 just a week ago, I think I'd be a touch disappointed. Even worse is the threat that we won't win the game at all.

So come on, Sir Alex, throw Pique, Rossi, Spector, Blake and Jones into the line-up. If we loose, everyone will just say we were experimenting and it will be forgiven. If not, won't that be something? Something to look forward to... the United youngsters who held/beat Newcastle on their debuts?

Anyway, either way, I'm watching and cheering for United today, as with any other day.

    THERE'S ONLY ONE UNITED

suppose though he might not want to field tons of kids, in case they fcked up, it would crush their confidence.

Why do I have a strong feeling that Ronaldo and Kleberson are going to be needed? It seems like a gut feeling. But we should win this put some pressure on the Arse.

Phil Neville? This is the perfect chance to give Spector a shot... perfect! And with van Nistlerooy out I cannnot believe there is no sign of Rossi. With Keane, Fortune & Fletcher on at the same time, we will not see ANY creativity out of our midfield (maybe a bit from Fletcher, but that will be it). I don't think we will win this one.

EDIT: For fuck's sake, I really hate to say it, but I am losing confidence in Ferguson more & more with every game. You do realise that while this is a golden opportunity to give hungry, talented youngsters like Rossi a chance there are NO strikers on the bench?

'15 - it's been a pretty even match, Phil Neville is nowhere to be seen (how surprising), anything & everything we have done going forward seems to have been from Giggs - if he were having an off-day today I doubt we would have had a shot on (or off) target. Are you sure Fortune is on the pitch?

'18 - Giggs & Rooney on the break cut the Newcastle defence open, Rooney take a shot. Great reactionary save from guess who? Shay Given!

'19 - Our keeper makes a mess of things & Shearer almostp uts it in, Rio acted as the last man and saved us.

Fortune must've gone for a bite to eat. I'm even looking for him on the replays, and he is NOWHERE.

At least he is amakign a few (small) things happen. Keane sits too deep to do anything creative these days, and Fortune is simply invisible.

'23 - Rooney smacks one from distance, it goes wide. Enough of these blasts from distances OK? It's getting very, very old. I doubt we've scored more than 6-7 of them all season, despite trying at least 100 (no exaggeration).

'24 - Howard with ANOTHER mess, fails to catch a cross (suprise, suprise!).
