Why did you make it multiple choice?

Just thought some people might want to vote for more than one duo. So they can if they want. I'm kinda split between 2 at the moment myself.

Also I should have read your post on the other thread before creating the poll...maybe then I would have remembered it is Kirovski and not Jirovski...oops

with Johnson's emergence and the trade of Ruiz Dallas could be going to the title game.
Anyone know, besides Mexico City, when the last game Johnson played in where he didn't score? He scored last night and wednesday and it will be nice to see how long he can keep up his streak.
Ruiz didn't show much but it's almost a definite that he will score in double figures this season.

Dallas, pretty obvious choice for me. But just looking at that list, you see how improved the MLS is. 15 quality strikers right there, if you count Donovan as a striker.

This shouldn't be a poll. It's Dallas hands down. Best two forwards in MLS.

I know you only jest but its a sad fact that Adu-Walker would get more votes as the better strike duo than Woly and "el Rey". :D

So it's going to be Cerritos instead of DeRosario starting?

I think the Buddle/Razov and Twellman/Noonan duo's are very capable of putting up better numbers then Johnson/Ruiz.

in fact so far they have.

well - NOT Dallas - Ruiz is now known as a DIVER of the first order - His scoring days will be much fewer than last year - And Forwards can't be that much better than the Midfield (and overlapping Defenders) behind them -

Otherwise - You're right about the number of quality strikers now in the league - The next step is depth - Which team has the better #3 striker?

    Doesn't duo imply chemistry?

    Well, it does to me.
Johnson and Ruiz may prove to be the best in the league, but they haven't yet.
    We'll see.
    Until then...
    Esky/Moreno
    But I'm biased.:)

San Jose has some depth, with Alessandro Moreno and Dwayne DeRosario on the bench. I just wish their depth elsewhere on the field were as great.

The match against Colombia. He played well but just couldn't connect with Mathis. Had a diving header about 8 yards from the near post. The ball was coming in from the right, and he was diving right at goal, but somehow, and I'll never understand this, he heads it back out to the right and it goes out for a throw in. I'm not sure how many others noticed it, but I just stood there with my mouth gaping. I don't mean to degrade the kid, as I think he's the best pure forward we have, but his miss was just astonishing.

I have a feeling Twellman and Noonan will be putting up some serious numbers. Razov and Buddle have sounded like a pair made in heaven though.

for those wondering here's the ones left off

    Taylor/Martins Chivas USA
    Cunningham/Peguerro Colorado
    Wolyniec/Galvan Rey Metrostars
    Herron/Jaqua Chicago

with Reiter replacing Jaqua. Chivas and Dallas use 3. Wolde Harris starting for Colorado. Donovan may be a midfielder. Then you might be looking at Naldo, Gordon, or Ngwenya as a starter. Kirovski played some RM preseason too.

I think a good job here was done in leaving off these 4. Chivas haven't scored yet and the other 3 would have little support.

This could be a brutal year to be a defender. I know it's still early, but I can't imagine some of these teams (Columbus, Dallas, DC, New England, RSL) won't be capable of pumping in 2-3 goals a game.
