I can confirm this as true. And he's actually an acceptable musician as well. ;)

Segroves is the Rick Santorum of BigSoccer. Santorum imagines man-on-dog sex; Segroves imagines male appendages stuffed in cartoon characters' mouths. A couple of real self-loathing closet cases.

I guess it's to be expected, he is from Oklahoma afterall. I'm sure he voted for Tom "Lesbians Everywhere" Coburn, too.

Well, I'm not very optimistic about this season. Hopefully it'll be the opposite of last year, where I was really optomistic and we sucked.

I am lost, did Chicago sign him or is this a joke? Or did the deal fall through?

Hopefully the deal hasn't, Chicago needs someone up top to help Herron, and Nate although good, isn't ready.

    Ok, Fools Day is over.

Lubos will start today and be as good as Lubos Kubik on free kicks, right?

since they're announcing his signing on Monday, I'm guessing no. You'll get your fill of Jaqua for the season :)

Huh, so much for one of my favourite players on Sigma Olomouc. Although he is older, I am a little surprised Sigma Olomouc is letting him go halfway through the season. Sigma is battling for a spot in the Champions League, and Reiter was always a good player. However, he has been struggling this year and hasn't produced like last year. I think he had 15 goals in the Czech league last year, which was one of the highest totals.

As stated before, he is excellent in the air and is a physical force up front.

Here is a clip from the Estonia-Slovakia goal (he scores the second goal for Slovakia about 1:16 into the clip)...

Any word on when he is supposed to join Chicago? I will probably end up flying to Chicago to watch him play. :)

It looks like the Reiter deal is done.

Here is a link to the official Slovakian FA site-
    http://www.slovak-football.sk/index.php

Under the player profiles is the following listing Reiter as a Chicago Fire player:

PROHÁSZKA Martin retired from national team ... forward
    REITER Ľubomír Chicago Fire forward
RUSNÁK Štefan retired from national team ... forward
RZESZOTO Branislav retired from national team ... goalkeeper

    ...

Here is his bio from the Slovak FA website:

    REITER Ľubomír

    Club: Chicago Fire
    Position: forward
Carrier: MŠK Žilina, Sigma Olomouc (2001/2005), Chicago Fire (2005)

    Born: 3.12.1974

    Goals: 8

    Appearances: 24

    Debut: 7.10.2001

After watching the display tonight, it's obvious the Fire need a target forward. Let's hope Reiter is the man.

My question is how they can transfer him when the transfer window is closed until Summer? Did Olomouc tear up his contract making him a free agent? I guess we'll find out on Monday, when Peter Wilt holds his press conference.

Welcome to Chicago, Lubos! You have big shoes to fill to become the number one Lubos in Chicago Fire history. We will never forget the "original" Lubos.

The transfer window into MLS closed Thursday afternoon. They got the deal done but aren't announcing it until Monday.

I noticed a good fall very early on, think it was just a few minutes in. Not much more after that though there were a few other trademark moves.

You mean like where he runs like a schoolgirl sache-ing his arms to and fro?Nate: try swinging your arms in front of you in the direction you are running, not out at your sides. it will make you look like a male, and increase your speed. Jacqua is a good late substitute now. He simply needs to pick up his level of play to be a starter on a (crossing fingers) premier MLS team. I still have faith in the boy. Just not enough to have him as a starter.

He Cwhein did you not douche this past Friday and struck out at the bars because of the strong pungent odors emminating from your bearded clam??

It would explain alot of the bitterness against the ones on this board who actually do get laid every once in a while. :D

Reiter signing will now be announced Tuesday but don't expect him to play for 3 weeks at the least, as a visa needs to be secured.

Since he can't play for a month, does an extra day before the announcement matter? The paper is going to be a little crowded after all the news out of Rome this weekend.
