Hey I'm a freshman at Rowan University and we're reverse engineering soccer helmets. We were wondering if any of you fine folks could help us. We were wondering how fast soccer players usually run, mostly into soccer goalposts and in head to head collisions. Thank you Tim Moroz morozt65@students.rowan.edu
Heh, found that quite amusing . Think people tend to stick away from the goal posts! And, as Redalert101 said, most head to head collisions aren't on the run. I'm not exactly sure as to what you're asking though - how do we determine how fast we're going in collisions? I'm sure the more extreme injuries are a result of someone running faster and the less extreme one is when someone is running much slower.
Soccer players are all infused with Cheetah DNA and move faster than other athletes. That is to say, if you're engineering something you should assume that the occasional player will be able to run as fast as any human being can possible run.
