Mr. Ley also did "NASL Weekly" back in the early days of ESPN.

I miss him doing it as well. Of course that was back when I was first discovering why girls were so interesting so it was a bit of a while ago. But I've got nothing but respect for Bob Ley, with ESPN and Sporscenter turning into nothing but Lazy Eyes and Booyahs hes one guy there that can put a sentence together and tackle a tough topic with respect.

Bretos is his sidekick or the other way around.

    Hmm, never heard of it.

Once again, I don't understand why there are 2 threads for this. Can a moderator simply merge these?

Maybe he missed Bob Ley twice as much as he missed others. ;)

I'd agree with Toby Charles but he seems to have suddenly disappeared off the face of the Earth...

Overdueing it. Isn't that when you return a book to the library a little late?

I don't think that Toby Charles is American. He has a fairly strong non-American accent and is referred to on a few websites as being "British."

I think you get the point. But if you want to teach me English 101, forget it! I got more important things to do like talk soccer. :p

Toby Charles is actually Welsh. And he in my opinion a soccer annoucer God. Back in the late 70's and early 80's he was the voice of Soccer Made in Germany on PBS. I believe he is now doing the Bundasliga highlight show on GolTV and FoxSW.
Does anyone know were Bob Ley is? He would be a great addition to GolTV. Some of those announcers are real bores. I turn the sound down and just watch the matches because the announcers are just so bland. Anyone agree?

Bob Ley is still at ESPN. He hosts Outside the Lines, which is a class show. In fact he'll be doing a uSA - Mexico pregame and postgame on his show.

yeah I actually remember hearing Ley call the games, he was pretty good.
I also notice that when he's on sportscenter they always manage to put a soccer highlight :) (by his request obviously)
