Are we sure that's not a warmup jersey? The sleeves look a bit large as if to allow a jersey underneath. Same with the big V-neck. It also appears that it doesn't have the (almost now trademark) mesh/water shedding technology under the sleeves that most Nike jersey's have. I do like the diagonal banner though.

That matches what I have heard one of their jerseys will look like - If so, it is a nice looking shirt..

But that doesn't look like the final, official version to me:

    A. The words Los An....is interrupted above the Galaxy logo.
    B. The galaxy swirl is missing its outer-rim - not to mention a bit blurry.

Even so - I hope the final version is close to that one.

It's much more in line with what Nike is doing with its top clubs around the rest of the world. The sash-motif is a la Inter Milan, and the background pattern looks like what Arsenal has on its "blue" jersey. The further away we get from the denim and stars mentality of 1994, the better.

    Hmmmmmmmmm

So I am them to assume that MLS will let LA Galaxy keep it's River Plate look so they can give Columbus Crew a new Boca Junior's look. . .therefore getting the Argentinian fans to flock to our league?

    Smart! ;)

At first I thought the same thing about the Los Angeles thing, but if you look closer, you can tell that it's just that the lettering is almost the same color as the stripe.

at least it looks like a real soccer uniform....remember those great '96 jerseys....and know that they are going to come back at some point in the future at a turn back the clock day promotion

Would that make Dallas the Independiente of the league?

Personally, I could give a flying s*** what LA's jersey looks like, but it should be told that that's their away.

Their home jersey will be that dark green in the sash.

Best to hold your tongue, cuz if the Rapids come out with a crap jersey...you'll be eating crow!!!

p.s. Its not bad...the sash is typical Nike stuff though...that company just luvs to repeat itself.

that definitely seems more suited for an away jersey (AKA - not very eye-catching). it's too bright for me. I would like to see the home jersey though. Any pics of that would be very beneficial. Personally, though (i know i'm gonna get drilled for this), I liked the old uniforms. Granted, teal isn't a great color, but it wasn't completely horrific. I actually like the striped kits they had a few years back (the ones with "juniper" as a color).
OK, let the verbal assault begin.

    Move Los Angeles.

    That's hideous.

Looks like someone vomited on it.

And it's missing their star, too...

imo, the new uniform is better. but what's that sash about?

seems like mls is getting somewhat "europeanized."

    Thumbprint...

I looks like there is a thumbprint on the front of the jersey.

I dont like it. I hope that is not the official kit for 2003.

I prefer the current Galaxy away kit.

Yep, this new kit is bad as I imagined. I think I'll stick with my away white.

Hey, could someone do me a favor and post a direct link to the green one - for some reason I was unable to view it. TVM.

I like it. It is unique for the league, but not outrageous.

I think I agree with whoever said it might be a training jersey -- that's the same color LA's training shirts were this year. I'd bet their actual jerseys will be this design, only white and teal for home and away.
