I just wanted to give this thread another chance. For all the hard work these broads are gunna put in, they deserve it.
Edit, thread title changed as that horse is officially dead. Notes: 1. Any more trolling and cards will be issued. Yes, children, you've reduced it to this. 2. Let's try to keep comments about women relatively tastefull. If you haven't had a date in 5 years and want to vent about how women are bad because hate talk radio told you so, this is not your thread. Your posts will be removed. Yes, this is your fault, not ours/mine. To remind us all of what we're making fun of, here is the "job" posting: 1. Anyone who goes to "Trinity" with a camera to photo the applicants and posts pictures here....I don't know whether to laugh or cry. 2. This is not an advertisement for in-game cheerleaders. The "interaction with fans at home games" part will likely be some things that inters did last year, passing out flyers and what not. 3. This is a rip off of...well...a lot of things. 4. I think this is the best part: "Like the chance to be a local celebrity." It is not actually the chance to be a local celebrity, but it is like the chance to become a local celebrity. Nice. Carry on.
Trinity is right down the street from my appartment. Its actually a pretty popular spot and a bit more upscale. I would go take some photos for you guys but i am afriad i would be accused of being a chronic masterbater by Metrogo. In truth I can care less about this MertoGirlzz thing since it has almost nothing to do with the on-field product, Harrison stadium, or the termination of certian memebrs of Metro Brass. But good luck to the girls that apply.
yea i can't believe all u people ruined my perfectly good thread ... oh well. i think they should have the metrogirlzz show up at the pregame festivities , especially the big games/doubleheaders. i don't mean just handing out flyers at shoprite or inside the stadium... i mean actually being in the parking lot, walking around, talking to fans, maybe even sharing a beer or two. if they showed up at big hs soccer events (and college too) to promote the metros, that'd be pretty cool too (even tho the mls season is winding down by the time september comes). i'm sure people will read these ideas and say "yea duh thats common sense", but im pretty sure that almost none of the ideas will happen. go metros!... o yea, i can almost envision the following turning into a metrostars contest: "win a free day with the metrogirlzz! travel with them as they handle their business, and get free tickets with them to a metrostars home game!" would i be way off in predicting this? (hopefully not)
http://metrostars.mlsnet.com/MLS/ne...ent_id=23483&vkey=news_met&fext=.jsp&team=met OK, there's nothing in the article about cheerleaders. Ever been to a bar that's having a promotion for Bud, Camel or a local radio station? When they handout bottle-opener keychains, buttons that blink, t-shirts and other useless junk. They usually hire hot chicks to hand em out. My guess is that's what they're trying to do here. DC has a similar group of girls
I am glad this thread is reopenned, because I have a question that maybe one of you can answer. My question is; "Why?" Would pupose does having these cheerleader serve? Do the Metro management think people are going to say, "Hey let's buy tickets to see the MetroStars...they have cheerleaders!"? I am sure ANY of us can come up with at least 10 things the organization could do to get more fans to attend more games! Maybe it's a matter of pride that keeps them from, if not listening to the advice, certainly keeps them from acting on it. The logic of this cheerleader thing totally escapes me.
Kareem - see NJPsyscho's post above. If it is more of a community relations thing (like pretty much most sports teams have) - would you be more willing to pay attention if some hot chick (or so I pray) was handing out metrogear or if say NYR Metro or metrotico was doing the same? It sounds less like a pompom thing than I originally thought.
Now you know what could be even better? A reality show of contestants vying to be metrogirlzz. Reality shows bring in viewers and always attract wanna-be starlets. The WWF did it, didn't they? So this would be like America's top 2nd class model. Project Swampfox or something. I can't believe MFO isn't doing this. Nick would not only get to be escorted around by girls, but he'd get his mug on tv more often as well. And we'd get the priceless joy of him saying "you're outta here" every week.
What's this? A new thread for the 2nd String MetroGirlzz Squad? Well, since you asked for it ... here they are - the New Jersey MetroGirlzz Reserve Squad:
Dude that picture is hilarous.Let's start a poll whos had bigger hair these girls or our T. V. Announcer Shep in his Cosmos days ...lol
what the hell are you suppose to look at when once again, we can't score... and the season goes south?
i don't care what the little dc frat boys and others say... there's a bunch of hot-a$$ girls in north jersey -- especially in hoboken -- who all can't rely on daddy's money to pay that atrocious rent...they're gonna need a part-time...right? and the funny thing about it is? they ain't all from jersey, these hussies are mostly from out-of-state, and yes, unfortunately from the dc area. can't wait to slur to them during some matches this season.
Not sure if anyone else caught it but was flipping channels yesterday and one of the spanish channels during the news had a little video clip of the introduction of the Metrogirlzz. 11 ladies I think, cute uniform, and most of the ladies ummm......Va-Va-VaVoom. Well if the team sucks it up this year on the field at least there will be something worth watching.
Stopped by media day briefly yesterday and I gtta say these are the worse looking broads Ive ever seen. I mean they were wearing belly shirts with fat rolls hanging out!!! One girl had a face like a truck drove through it. I wouldve loved to see what girls got cut, maybe itll be on "MetroStars All Access"?
