Give his talent to someone who actually gave a crap and you would have had a world superstar. But you guys should lay off zak: his POINT was that American soccer fans in general may never have even heard of the team, let alone know who plays on it, until McBride. Yes, a bunch of squinty-eyed, hairy-palmed losers who hang around this Forum can name some players, but that really doesn't help sell tickets. Fulham is a dull, lackluster attraction, which is probably why they're putting them in a small venue like CCS. Face it here: if CW brought Fulham over for a tour they wouldn't draw flies. The Orange COunty Blue Star of PDL would out-pull them. They should kill this "International team vs. MLS All STars" garbage, which just isn't working out for them, and go back to tthe East vs. West format. Or cancel the goddam thing altogether and just play soccer.

Re: Major (Crew) Announcement on Tuesday I was really hoping the announcement was that the parking lot was finally going to be paved. Each year I see some poor fans stuck in some part of the bog which doubles for the Crew parking lot. Oh well. I believe the all-star event should continue with the international team vs. mls all-stars. It is much more interesting to see a competitive game against a team from one of the top 5 leagues in the world. Although Fulham is not one of the easily recognized teams (Man U, Liverpool, etc.) they are nonetheless a quality team. This year has been a struggle for the most part and they are in the lower part of the table but they play good soccer. Last year I believe they were actually competiting for a UEFA Championship spot but that is when they had Saha before he was sold. This game will only provide more exposure for the MLS.
