The Lynx played a few games at York During a Civic Employes strike which shut down Centenial. I recall watching the Lancers at Varsity and the fans boing the hell out of Carlos Meditieri, Whats he up to anyone know?
well it seems they have updated their site, and changed their names too http://www.torontoultras.net/new Sorry to hijack this thread. Maybe a mod can move this Toronto Ultras stuff to an appropiate forum?
you think Rochester could make that stadium a manufactured home and truck it on over to Seattle? we certainly wouldn't mind if that kind of thing were to be done! we want a stadium too!
OK, so the 2005 schedule is out, and it didn't mention anything about Paetec, listing all games as being at Frontier. Does this mean that it won't be a go until '06? I haven't seen an update on that lately.
They are looking at starting games at PaeTec in August. It all depends on the construction progress. So far, we are having a mild winter which is helping.
Based on the look of the latest construction photos and that Dant Clayton is the manufacturer of the seating components, is this the going to be the skeleton of PAETEC Park? http://www.dantclayton.com/products/I-Beam_Grandstands/i-beam_grandstands.html
Thanks for the link to the manufacturer. I am hoping that the Rhinos do some landscaping to minimize the exposed I-beams from the road. Dominion D took new pix and posted some descriptions. http://www.rhinosfan.com/showthread.php?t=604
Heavy Metal! It was reported in Bob Matthews Rochester Democrat & Chronicle and on Kick This! that the concrete stantions are all in place and the steel for the stadium is slated for delivery in early March.
I don't like the way BS handles photos, so I am going to point you to the Rhino board and a fansite--Rhinopit.com. http://www.rhinosfan.com/showthread.php?t=653 http://www.rhinosfan.com/showthread.php?t=561 http://www.rhinopit.com/ptp.shtml There are more at both sites if you want to dig.
http://photobucket.com/albums/v704/dominionroc/? PAETEC Park construction took an important step today as the structural steel for the stadium started to arrive on site today. Click on the above site to view photos of the site as of today...March 7, 2005. The first 11 photos were taken today....the balance of page one and part of two was taken about 8 days ago...and the rest were taken about four weeks ago. Despite a tough winter with over 108 inches of snow...the stadium has progressed without any delays. It looks like the toughest part of the work has been completed (working in the dead of winter on the concrete support columns, environmental clean-up....underground utilities...etc.). Since most of the stadium was assembled off-site in Louisville, Kentucky...the actual shell includiing seats should be assembled fairly quickly. But still, estimates have the stadium ready by sometime in August.
http://photobucket.com/albums/v704/dominionroc/ Click on to the above site to view 21 new photos of PAETEC Park. In just a week, the stadium is starting to possess a "personality". Despite very cold and windy weather, the structural steel is being quickly assembled on site. Looks like daily delivery of steel is keeping pace with the assembly work.
Sorry, no pics. I visited yesterday and they have completed the north side and they are about 1/3 of the east side. Great progress is being made.
