I don't know about the Fortune hating Robert25... Quinton was our best player in the first half of the home leg... he was crap in the 2nd half and should have been subbed but he played very well in the first half.

I would not mind us playing the 4-4-2.. but I would rather we play the 4-3-3 with Keane, Scholes, and O'Shea in midfield to start off with Rooney on one wing and Ronaldo on the other... Rooney will still get central and still cause problems... but it will give us threat's on both wings and spread the field hopefully giving Scholes, Keane and O'Shea time on the ball in the middle... it will work if Ruud plays well, and I don't mean scores though it would be nice, but rather holds up the ball well and a finds the runs of the midfielders which he has been doing well thus far. Then... once Milan get used to the threat being on the wings we change it up and go 4-4-2 in the second half... bringing on Giggs to run at Cafu who would have been outmatched for strength by Rooney and move Rooney central... he and Ruud will click and it will be a wrap... I hope.

Against AC Milan, at the San Siro, in a game where we'll most likely need two goals against a stingy defense--yeah, we need Paul Scholes. Two d-mids don't even cut it in the Premiership, let alone the CL. Maybe its a risk, but its really our only chance.

Feel free to get the firing squad ready if we lose and Scholes does not play.

I just think we got to deal with Pirlo and Guttuso, something we did poorly the firsttime around. They will probabley want Rui Costa and kaka out there again to burn time as they did before. Keane needs help.

I would like to believe that AC Milan can never produce a performance matching the one at OT .. atleast in the coming few weeks .. days .. hours!

How great could it be to meet Chelsea in the finale .. and then thrash them .. and then steal the EPL from them as well!! ooooohhh!!!

I just read this and it pissed me off.

    http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=327017&cc=5901

Mr. South American pornstar says: My predictions would be Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, or AC Milan and maybe Inter to challenge. I don't think any of the English sides will do it.

Good luck guys. I hope you turn it around.

Losing Gary is bad news - he's been one of the best crossers of the ball for us this season and neither Wes Brown or Phil Neville are as accomplished defenders.

I thought the article was a tad delusional though when it claimed Saha would have been a "certainty to be involved" - if Fergie has to bring on a striker to chase the game I'd much rather have Smith on the pitch. The physical aspect to his game is more likely to unsettle AC's defence.

I wouldn't have minded having the option of putting Saha in the game late to get his head on a corner or to control a long pass, but I agree, losing Gary is bigger in this case. He provides nice service into the box and makes it harder for teams to double Ronaldo.

nope... sorry here... O'Shea does ok in CM on attack because he gets forward and does not give away the ball all the time, but on defense he is WAY too passive... so Scholes would do a much better job... also, Pirlo aint no huge physical specimen... he's not much bigger than Scholes if he's even that big... and its not about size... sure we need to press them abit more, but we also need to keep the ball alot better instead of wasting possesion...

I'm hopeful for this game. Watching the first game I was reminded of the game in Madrid a couple of seasons ago when United seemed to give Madrid too much respect. In the first game against Milan it seemed like United was a bit overwhelmed. It also appeared that they were playing for the draw or maybe hoping to sneak one on the counter. In tomorrow's game, I expect that United will try to increase the tempo. We may be vulnerable on the counter but that's okay. This game should be more entertaining. I think United will need to score at least two.

The problem with playing a 4-3-3 right now is that we usually play with two defensive/non creative midfielders. And in a game like this we need to score we should only need 1. The problem with a 4-3-3 that has O'Shea-Keane-Scholes and Ronaldo-Ruud-Rooney automatically leaves out Giggs. With a 4-4-2 and can play Giggs and drop O'Shea or Scholes. The problem with that is that Giggs has gone into one of his funks again and is pretty useless until he snaps out of it again.

Ahh jeez, I dunno. I'll let Fergie figure it out. :)

right, but I honestly think that with Cafu a bit tired... although there is no evidence that he even has a limit to how much he can run... Giggs might have an advantage on him... and the reason I like starting one way is that Milan think they have that figured out, they could still mess up with Rooney abusing Cafu and Kakha on the wings but more so, they will probably not get any tactical advice at halftime on what to do when we go to a 4-4-2 and Milan only faced Rooney as a withdrawn striker for 20mins... when he has a half to do it when they've grown used to him on the wings hopefully they fail to re-organize or that the resulting change opens up some room for our other players...

In form or out of form we need Giggs because that is the only way for us to beat Milan; beat a man out wide and then feed a player in the box. The only problem is Giggs and Ronaldo running into dead ends like the last game.

Not that I'm happy with the result, but the game against Palace showed Ruud slowly getting back and Rooney looks like he'll be up for Milan.

Attack! Attack quickly. Attack creatively. And when you get a chance at goal, take it well.
