Yeah true, maybe it's to throw off United's concentration a bit.

If he's genuine(we'll see after the 2nd leg) he's upsetting his own fans for no apparent reason. Will be quite strange of him to declare this for no reason, imo.

the timing of this is odd, right before the 2nd leg. I cant help thinking its a miscomment he're disavow within a day or two.

But if he is true and wants to come here, we'd better secure hi. hes a bulldog in the midfield and would do a lot for us.

Does anybody know what Gattuso's value is ?....if less than 10 million (which is unlikely) we should grab him......

Wow - Gattuso... That would be a wonderbuy :)

The one problem is that he would not come over to sit on the bench behind anyone - he would expect to start straight away and often. How will Roy handle that?

we are looking to replace him and he knows that
and neither would just sit on the bench as there would be squad rotations and he would be worked into the squad

I'd rather have this guy than Gerrard, he's as tough as nails. Played in Scotland for a while to, so fitting in wouldn't be that hard.

He has a Scottish wife who apparently doesn't like it in Italy...this is where the story may bare weight...but still, let's see what's up after the 2nd leg.

In this age of "no tapping" its a thinly disguised invitation for offers IMO

Agree - you need a ball winner who can distribute the simple balls to the attacking talent you already have - not someone firing the ball 50 yards across field all the time

He's not the perfect Keane replacement... but he would certainly be a good one imo... he'd be limited in his ability to go forward but all we need is an anchor... I'd be happy to take him on...

I agree, there's only one Keane; however, we need someone with similar grit, and as said, an anchor.

What and Gerrards not tough? Are you kidding? Steve makes anyone who he doesn't like east grass, and in style!

Steve has a howizter shot where Gattuso (god bless him) is still struggling to find his finesse

keane is the type of player that keeps people in check and is intimidating
gerrard doesnt have the same bad boy persona, which is what we really should be looking for when we try to replace keane
we've got a lot of people who take shots and a lot of goalscorers as it is, we need someone tough and intimidating to help win balls, tackles, and not afraid to hit someone. i think gerrard is a great player, one of the hardest working and spirited i've ever seen, but he doesnt fit the bill for replacing keane. maybe scholes in a few years though. gattuso is one of the few palyers out there who i think is intimidating and tough enough to play the same type of role, granted, he'll let a few shots fly too, but we shouldnt just look for people who can score or set up others.
