    Become the Tea Pot!!
Which one are you most curious about in terms of their final development as a player?

For me, it has always been Rooney. He has the potential to not only surpass Cantona but to also become the best player England have ever produced

So many things could go wrong or he may jus stop developing at this rapid rate but I have to say I haven't been this interested in a player's development since Giggsy burst on the scene.

After Rooney it has to be Rossi and then Ronaldo. Rossi has the making of a prodigy and it will be fascinating to watch him break the 1st-team squad and see how he goes on from there. Ronaldo for obvious reasons.

    Who is yours and why?

Both Ronaldo and Rooney, they are probably the best 2 youngsters in Europe right now and each has the potential to be the world player of the year in years but i voted Ronaldo as i can see him really coming to life in a few years time. He had a poor start to the season (probably due to him playing all through the summer) but after christmas (after he had a break) hes really turning on the style. Weather he remains with us is another question, i can see Real/Chelsea been interested in him in a few years time (probably when Figo goes from Real) and hes a Madrid fan so who knows, but if he does go i hope we get alot for him, more then double we paid for him atleast.

Ronaldo.I want to see if he can apply his reportoire of tricks and flicks into the appropriate situations, see if he can improve his dribbling skills and crossing to the point where he can tear world class full backs to shreds and deliver with pinpoint accuracy.I really like his imagination. He has all the technical ability in the world. For me, dribblers, are what makes football worth watching the most.I want to see if his intelligence improves on the pitch and if he can eventually realise what is the right pass consistently.Basically I think its fascinating to see if he develops into a great player, every defenders nightmare, another Luis Figo for the Portugese national side, another Giggs for United, or another Denilson for Real Betis.Something tells me the latter.

Secondly, I'd say Rooney, but he already looks firmly set for success and there is much less chance of him not becoming a great, judging by his displays.

I haven't seen Rossi or Pique yet.

I see so much potential in Howard, but I wonder if it can be utilized. He was brilliant for most of last year, and you have to think that can be re-harnassed some how. That's why I'm most curious about him. I have little doubt that the likes of Rooney and Ronaldo will continue to develop into superstars.

Of course there is interest in CRon and Rooney because they have so much talent and the last few weeks have been leading us to some impressive results.

But my choice? Fletcher. keano is nearing the end of his acreer and we need a new midfield at some point. Will Fletch and Klebs be our men in the middle? or someone else. Just came to mind.

For me it has to be Howard. As much as I want the others to all develop into world class stars, I want this for Howard even more.

Rooney and Ronaldo are probably going to lead this poll but they seem to be firmly on the road. Howard seemingly has the talent and the athleticism to be a great one. Will he? More importantly will he for United? For me no other question is more important/interesting.

As an American, obviously I'm curious about Howard. I think his brute athleticism gives him a natural advantage over so many keepers, and I really think that given the right coaching, he can become world-class. That would be great for us. As a United fan, Rooney really does have some kind of incredible potential. It wouldn't be too crazy to rank him in the top seven strikers in the world--right now. Who knows what he could be in three years time. His combination of speed, ball control, and vision is brilliant. I really feel almost the same way about Ronaldo on the wing, as he looks near world-class at 20, especially in big games. His tricks are used more effectively now, and he is learning rapidly when to go it alone and when to work with his teammates. I think that for now though, these two are a bit inconsistent, as, admittedly, is Howard. I've heard great things about Rossi too, but sorry until you can do it in the first team, I can't say too much about him.

In terms of their potential to truly be the best in the world, I'd say Rooney, then Ronaldo, then Howard if he can get things sorted out.

I would say Ronaldo. He has such a great potential that it would be a shame if he were not to add the missing elements to his game in the coming years.
He is still very young but if he is willing to listen and learn from older players
and his managers as well as stay injury free, he could become one the greatest players in the history of our club.
He is getting better with every game though. I did not choose Rio or Rooney because I think they will definitely become OT legends by the time they leave OT but Ronaldo is the big question mark. Will he reach his full potential?
I just hope that there are not many injuries in his futures. If not, the rest is up to him and him alone.

I am the lone vote for other as I would like to see Smithy's final product. I think we know what we'll be getting with the R's on that list...

I'm interested in seeing where O'Shea will end up. So, he's not as exciting as some of our players, but he's constantly suprising me with his versatility, in defense, in midfield, pushing forward. He's a player that might develop into that solid, reliable rock at the center of a team.

Great thread idea... for the players listed... I'm most curious about Ronaldo and Rooney is a close second... We've seen Rooney play on the wing and as a target and as a withdrawn striker... we know his future is to become the worlds greatest number 10... or atleast to try to become the world's greatest number 10... and he will develop into a great player but we know pretty much what to expect from him imo... loads of desire, pace, and cunning with one goal in mind... get to the goal and finish...

Ronaldo is a bit different in that he's played only on the wing for us... I can see him and Rooney playing together behind a target man with 3 CM's behind them with Ronaldo being allowed more license to roam the middle of the field like he has with Portugal. Ronaldo has the abilty to beat his man with pace, tricks or even with a good first touch and turn... he could become the best winger the world has ever seen if he is left on either flank, or he could become a player similar to Kaka and score as much as he creates that question mark is what makes me interested in his future...

However... the player I most wonder about? Kleberson... he's the guy we've been looking for to help us in Europe... I know alot of you don't believe me but he's our most versatile midfielder... I was watching Rooney's debut game this morning and noticed something... on Giggs' goal... Kleberson tackles for the ball successfully and lays it off to Giggs... goes on a run, receives the pass and eludes a tackler then drifts wide spots the runs of Ruud and Giggs and plays a perfect cross to Giggs with his left foot... that was in the 7th minute... by that point in the game he was already the most active player with 6 touches and not once conceeding possesion, or get this... ever holding the ball for more than 2 seconds... this is the guy Fletcher (who never releases the ball in less than 3seconds) is keeping out of the squad... I'm most interested in finding out what happens to him... I hope we keep him, but if he goes somewhere else... it will come back to haunt us... I promise.

You know, if you could make your arguments supporting Kleberson without slighting Fletcher all the time, you might get more polite replies...

The problem with Klebs is that he disappears for 40 minutes a game or even longer....

Not only that, but he failed to put his stamp on that game against Crystal Palace's reserve squad earlier this year... if you can't do that, it's a bit hard to argue he could be the best in the world at anything...

you are absolutely right... who is it pray tell that is keeping Klebs out of our team? And, has Fletcher... EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, stamped his authority on a game for United, EVER?

I'm trying to avoid a FFS and KFC war here, but most of the times commentators mention Fletcher its for giving away the ball or running into someone... that's not positive imo... but hey... sorry about coming at DF's neck... really I am... its just that I wish Klebs had half the chance DF has had, and I don't know why he hasn't... I'd be willing to bet money with Fletch out... Klebs won't get more than one appearance either...

Yeah, against a team called Arsenal.

As for why Kleberson isn't getting playing time, injuries have been the widely known reasons for this. It's also comical that you blame Sir Alex Ferguson for not playing him, when it was the same Sir Alex Ferguson that brought him here in the first place. It makes no sense. I can undertand your frustration, heck, I would love nothing more than for Kleberson to seize his chance and win a place in our starting 11, even over Fletcher if need be, but he has to stay injury free when he gets his chance. I rate Kleberson but complaining about Fletcher stealing all his minutes gets old after awhile...

I'm one of the two fools that picked spector.

I'm mostly curious to see how he handles the ups and downs of the game. Both the footy side and the business side of it. He's already experienced some of it, but I think he's got a lot more rollercoaster to ride.

Rooney. I have Ronaldo as a close second but I have a sneaking feeling that it won't be at Utd that we'll see his best. I don't believe Manchester would be his selection of a home town if it weren't for the football club. Also, he's now officially the most fouled player in the Premiership and either through frustration or injury I think he may prefer another league eventually.

One player missing from the list that intrigues me is Saha! In my view a very talented player but one whose attitude is something we need to see improve.
