It's wild to me that there are fewer and fewer active posters here and you're doing your best to both alienate and turn away as many as you can. If you're proudly muting so many people here, and adding more almost by the day, why do *you* come here?
1. its a good question...i ask myself the same....but i enjoy followingthe players 2. if he doesnt want the smoke then he shouldnt blatantly insult me 3. and you can blame the lack of traffic on the draconian and inept moderation of these forums who allow certain agendas to trump everything on here i got banned from the gio reyna thread for suggesting that his copa america play could be the get out of jail card his club career needs on the basis of mentioing national team play (despite onoy mentioning nat play re: his club career)
It’s your life, but my advice is Think more about the difference between a fact and your opinion Be more open minded Maybe write more efficiently? Realize that we know as much as you And the “lack of traffic” is because this is an old school message board and those have been fading for at least a decade. So have old fashioned blogs.
hes the one that referred to me as perpetually inadequate hes the one who made it personal first not me
I had to look to see where he said that. I don’t agree with unwarranted personal attacks but I took that remark somewhat tongue in cheek. What is readily apparent is you do tend to stir shit up. Whether intentionally or not, it comes off as trolling. tldr; you have a right to defend yourself.
The advent of smartphones coupled with the proliferation of social media and other social platform apps relegated the older desktop-based internet forum to the lower divisions of cyberspace.
So, without taking a pay cut, where can Ledezma realistically go? Are the best choices MLS and Liga MX?
Scandinavia, Old Firm, Portugal, Belgium would also be candidates. It's just a question of how much of a pay cut he's willing to take to start building a future away from PSV and the like: trading a higher salary next season for regular starts, essentially. It worked for Luca de la Torre and for his near-contemporary, Ireland's Josh Cullen
Since you brought this up here, I'll respond to it here. "Certain agendas": You have been banned from theads and, for a while, the whole YA forum because you consistently chose to violate the rule against NT discussion, in many if not most cases with a degree of aggression that far exceeds the norm. Before each official warning, you were given multiple requests and unofficial warnings, with the intent of allowing someone who was clearly a fan of the game and the players a chance to continue posting here. Before you were banned from the forum, you were given multiple warnings with explanations as to why what you were doing was a problem, along with explanations as to how to avoid repeating the problem. When you were allowed back in after having been banned from the forum, it was with the explicit warning that the leash would be short wrt NT team talk. In your response, you agreed to change your approach to posting. This hasn't happened. There is no hidden agenda here. You clearly feel singled out, but your behavior in the forum has been singularly problematic when it comes to the quantity of NT arguments you initiate here and the aggressiveness with which you pursue them once you've started it.
He's mostly been talking about Ledezma continuing to play at PSV not for the USMNT. There were personal attacks made towards him, that you haven't acknowledged.
I'll look into the personal attacks. As for the rest, your comment is a non-sequitur. I was responding to the claim made by him regarding his having been banned from the Reyna thread based on an occult agenda, as opposed to a years-long pattern of which he was the chief architect. I made no reference to his posts in this thread.
for instance, if I say that a player's play with the national team this summer will have a big impact on his club future....I feel like that should be allowed....because the point is the club situation other people reference national team as well on here..... and I have scaled back a lot on mentioning national team in this forum.....but its all intertwined...and most posters at least discuss it to a degree in all the threads of the national team players...so....it seems im getting unfair treatment in that sense for instance, Im banned from the pepi thread ....but pepi himself and his agent both spoke out for the same things that frustrated me about how PSV treated him.....doesnt make sense to me and in the reyna thread, i was trying to discuss how he performs in the copa will, have a huge impact on his next club season...but got banned for that.... now in the ledezma thread, im just stikcing up for richie and think he has a future at psv but am getting attacked for that..... you have explained somewhat where the line is .....but your post here is the first time where it seems quite clear.....(even though there is still a ton of grey area involved, imo)
RUMORES ALTAS: Jordan Carrillo (Santos Laguna), Jesús Gallardo (Monterrey), Alex Méndez (Vizela), Ricardo Ledezma (PSV Eindhoven), Paul Bellón (León), Hirving Lozano (PSV Eindhoven), Fidel Ambriz (León), Sebastián Córdova (Tigres), Erick Sánchez (Pachuca) FWIW. https://www.futboltotal.com.mx/futb...ga-mx-futbol-de-estufa-apertura-2024/2024/05/
That's Richie to Chivas. A more realistic target than getting PT for a CL side but Liga MX is a high enough level to be challenging and an overall standard that's a step up from the Eredivisie, especially where the bottom end is concerned. A very good option for him IMO
Sorry to disappoint a moment of clarity but - you weren’t banned by me just for National team stuff. This is a moderated forum like N&A and there are tons of places in the internet for unmoderated discussion about the National team or Yanks Abroad - this just isn't one of them. It's not a platform for any one person's adolescent rantings the way Twitter is. You aren't the only person here to complain about the moderating - no one likes it when they get moderated, including me. When we start discussing an individual poster in the open like this it's usually a tell tale sign of a disruptive problem. We should move this discussion out if you want to continue to understand - but your access to this forum is very likely on borrowed time unless you lose the outrage and gain some self-awareness and/or humor about the way your judgement may be clouded and that you may not have all the answers. Many of us could benefit by more of this. PS - Irish Rover isn't a US fan? It's like finding out there's no Santa Claus
Is this why he's allowed to make personal attacks against users? Guess I better stay quiet when he mocks me for having an unpopular opinion about a player.
Are your feelings easily hurt by someone mocking you? Feel free to provide input on the moderating without sarcasm. Moderating is not perfect but I will go remove the personal attack to which you are referring if that helps. Edit: Bungadiri had already removed.
Nope but it seems as the mods do have their favorites here and those users get special privileges unlike the rest of us. Also, is it just a coincidence, that the wording of your statement is similar to what was used by Irish Rover? I guess it is what it is.
I'm actually a sock for Rover? Again - feel free to make specific points or complaints. You don't see the majority of our actions and because we didn't delete one post sideways mocking a disruptive poster, it proves we give special privileges to a select few (even though it's subsequently been removed)? Can I see the list of people that get these privileges? But, truthfully, yes - posters who are long standing solid contributors to the forum may get more leeway than a poster who is disruptive. We don't spend tons of energy protecting the feelings of posters who are disruptive. So, while I don't think you see the leeway we give anyone (problematic or otherwise) I'm okay with your conclusion that we (I'm) biased. Moderating is an inexact science and sometimes it misses the mark and sometimes it doesn't. And we don't see every post every time. But if you prefer unmoderated free for all - or perfect moderating without bias - I'm sure there are other places out there (at least for that first thing). And if you have constructive criticism - we are always open to that. The more specific words you use without the hostile implications - the better we may understand your point. For example, while you are saying this poster gets special treatment, I hope you also realize that a personal attack of this kind is not something we would likely ban any poster (preferred or not) for a one off like that.
