Ochoa and 10 traffic cones face a determined St Louis team.

Aaron Edwards finally said "f this" and started playing very aggressively, and won the Quakes a set piece in St. Louis's final 3rd. But other than that, Townies are asking to be beat.

The Town got a little bit better after my man Alex Chow came into the game for an injured Beau Leroux. He's just so active on both sides of the ball - the energizer. Aaron Edwards isn't a great player but he's just different. He's got that ridiculous long throw-in, he plays a little angry sometimes, and occasionally makes plays by virtue of his physicality. At least he's interesting to watch.

Our old friend Kylen Mills (host of Quakes Exclusive last year) is broadcasting. She said "San Jose" instead of "The Town" several times but seems to be settling in now.

If you're the kind of soccer fan who hates goals, you should watch The Town every week.

That was too bad. Even though St. Louis pressured a lot, they somehow looked toothless around goal, partly because The Town was pretty well organized. I thought Townies might be able to steal a point or 3.

That was the most lethargic game I've seen them play. The delay took a toll.

Perfect ending to our MDW hometown team trifecta.

I literally fell asleep (and just woke up a bit ago). Missed the second half. :)

Mind numbing to watch game after game of dumb offensive soccer from the Town. Cano sitting on the bench while DeGeer tries to beat down defenses with the same tactics that clearly aren’t going to work. How many games does he need to see the team fail to score before he wakes up???

I like Blancas a lot but he’s never going to be a successful 9. He’s not a false 9 either. He was the Quakes 2 leading scorer last year by playing in the central midfield and making late runs into the box in the wake of the strikers pushing forward. You cut back crosses behind the striker and Blancas arrives to finish. Cano up top banging with the center backs like old school Lenhart. Not rocket science.

The Town need to make some changes... by the way who even is their coach Dan DeGeer?
