Like 2021 with Gigio who was out of contract until just right before the tournament commenced, could run into a similar situation with Chiesa this time around. This one seems even more complicated. Chiesa needs to get this sorted out before June 15. Unless the NT takes out some premium insurance policy should he sustain an injury while without club. This is going to be an unsettled 3 Weeks. Chiesa likely out at Juve.

    @Vieri#9 & @nunzio23

Precisely correct. Yet a minority on J Twitter bemoaning Chiesa only scoring 9 Goals this season. Chiesa is NOT a 2nd Striker, never wanted to be a 2nd Striker. He's a #7. Has played for the most negative Manager this side of Trappatoni in matches where Juve play slow and boring and the few Wins earned where just scraped by often getting outpossessed. Yet there are complaints. But last 2 matched in a trident in his preferred winger role, he's been superb. This is not going to end well with him at Juve.

Chiesa is still under contract with Juve until June 2025.

According to a report Motta doesn't even want Chiesa on his Juve. Looks like he's going to pull his Bologna tactics so much for ItalJuve I guess...

"Transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio claims this evening on Sky Sport Italia that Thiago Motta intends to build his team around players including Rabiot, Locatelli and Bremer."

If it's true Motta doesn't want him, Chiesa needs to find any number of teams that want him and will play him in his actual position. This is starting to feel a small bit like Baggio getting benched/pushed-out on teams while everyone under the sun can see he's a fantastic player. There's just no way Chiesa is going to continue to have his prime tampered with by managers who (with respect to Motta, who obviously is a good manager) would rather not have him around.

Is anyone else shocked by this? Chiesa might be effectively driven away from Juventus. F***ing idiots.

If it’s true, then it confirms that Motta has a bias against a certain type of winger. He could also be looking to cut out any guys he sees as having to much sway in the locker room. Who knows.

I think the story is bullshit though

Hate to pile on this player but this shouldn't be shocking seeing as how Motta played Orsolini only 15 Minutes more this season over Dan Ndoye despite the difference in goal totals between the 2. Another example, splitting Minutes between Fabbian (5 Goals) and Aebischer and Urbanski who between them scored 0. The biggest joke alongside Conte giving him the #10 shirt at Euro 2016.

Rabiot is likely out the door, Bremer may be sold to ManU as he can fetch good money so the team may ignore his wishes. Interesting how he wants to build around Locatelli but Loca has struggled mightily and it's Chiesa that's not in his plans yet for the Italy team it's the opposite.

Motta better put that windbreaker and ball cap of his away. This isn’t Spezia or Bologna or him barefoot back in Sao Paulo. Instead of already leaking out info of who is in his plans while the FT of the last Bologna match just sounded, his first order of business at Juventus for a Manager is always getting his measurements taken for a suit.

Something tells me I'm gonna dislike this guy.

Should be on the Juve board but since it concerns an Italy player, appropriate here as well.

Looking at past Bologna Lineups, he tinkers quite a fair amount from a 4-1-4-1 to a 4-3-2-1 to a 4-3-3. Gonna be a big difference from Allegri and his 3-5-2 no matter how horrible the team played.

No wonder he has no time for Chiesa but prefers players that puts up goose eggs (I've listed 3). Hilarious that he allegedly has no space for Chiesa yet some of those in the trashheap he prefers should be playing in Eccelenza at best.

Rumor that he wants to sell Chiesa to raise money for Zirkzee. Already replied to that on the Juve board -->

This is not the correct move. Chiesa played 500 less Minutes than Zirkzee and unlike Zirkzee wasn't the focal point of the Attack, and still scored 9 Goals to Zirkzee's 11 all despite playing under Allegri's abortion-ball ways and playing in a position not his and where is not comfortable.

Why is everybody in Italy losing their minds over Joshua freaking Zirkzee and his 11 Goals when Berardi had this many for a trash team and still missed half the season? Let's bring Pinamonti over then. There's precisely your 11 Goals and you'll save 30M for the extra cost associated with being an exotic foreigner.

I don’t buy the Chiesa rumour yet. The news was reported by Di Marzio who isn’t always right.

As far as Zirkzee, it’s less about the amount of goals he scores than his actual style of play. In terms of being a CF, he is very complete. His team play is excellent. It’s not an accident that Inter, Juve and Milan are interested in him. He’s still 23 and he can get better. Pinamonti on the other hand is more one dimensional. That’s not to say that he can’t be successful. He just needs to get on the right team.

In any case, Juve don’t necessarily need either guy.

He can go play futsal then. Why didn't Bayern hold on to him then? (not asking you directly, just asking outloud). Damn this Chiesa rumor has me triggered, LOL !

Well. Motta better lay his cards out on the table and not mess with him. If he is a part of his plans, perfect. If not, then he can't waste a year finding out the hard way. Might as well Chiesa find a new team now.

Gianluca Scamacca scored a beauty in the 26th minute on a show from the top of the box.

    So far....Dea 1- Toro 0!

Scamacca now has 12 goals on the year.

Leonardo Bonucci has retired from football.

What a character. Trolled the English in their own house, rejected Guardiola despite more money, told Kean it was 50/50. A shame Fenerbache just fell short. They gave him a good sendoff.

'Mr Bonucci and Mr Chiellini could teach lessons at Harvard University about how to be a central defender" -- Jose Mourinho.

A shame he stayed on a bit too long but they all do.

Tano Retegui for Albania to set the tone.

Scamacca for Spain. Different characteristics. Chances that Spain allow touches in the box (what Retegui and 99% of CF's need to be effective) are going to be at a premium. Whereas Scamacca can score from outside the box.

Both of them are equal in keeping Defenders occupied. Maybe a slight edge to Retegui.

Raspadori to sub them in the 80th.

    Croatia: TBD.

    Empoli leading at the Olimpico.

Currently watching Frosinone and Udinese. 0-0.

As it stands now, Udinese going down. Miracle Save by Udinese keeper just nowadays.

    Now Roma score. ********.

    RIP Empoli

A shame because Breciannini and Soule caused Udinese trouble.

Here's hoping Udinese drop next season and Cremonese win their Playoff.

Empoli score in the 93rd. Frosinone go down.

What a bloody shame. Frosinone had the best 4 chances of the match when it was still 0-0. ********.

Di Francesco's old team let him down. In tears being comforted by his old Italy teammate, Cannavaro.

Between Udinese, Milan, Parma, and most likely Venezia, next season any wonder why the NT struggles?

Simply put it is not sustainable.

I dont believe the Motta Chiesa rumor, just put him in a 4-3-3 or 3-4-2-1 and watch him dominate.

Scamacca must start. His control and link up play is beautiful. Then you give him an ounce of space, no matter where he is at, and he will put it on target. That is what we need. I am so done us getting 20-30 shots to try for a goal. Retegui is similar to the Immobile style and while he has done great in little time with the Azzurri, give me Scamacca instead all day.

To that point, he had 6 Assists this year tied with his teammate Lookman. Of all CF's in the league, only Giroud had more.

    ^^^

I'm not worried about Scalvini. Kid is barely 20 YO. He had 32 Appearances this season despite injury. Djimsiti (gym city) is in his prime. Good player for sure. A reason why Scalvini's value is 4X's higher and courted by other clubs while the other 2 are not. Hien just racked up Appearances on the back of Scalvini's injury. Atalanta went on a heater (coincidentally during their most difficult part of the schedule) and when Scalvini became fit again they weren't about to change their Lineup. Also Atalanta usually play with 3 in the back. Scalvini is far from the finished product but he's at a good level for his age.

Dont ask me how, but the commentator said he had the most goal contributions by an Italian player in 20 years!
