that’s what scares me. Puts pressure on. But can only play the game to find it out. Hopefully it goes well

Tanner Tessman seems to be on a trajectory that ought to put him in he MF conversation. Is he Olympic age eligible?

Yes, he and Busio of Venezia have been at most of the Olympic camps.

Its probable Tessmann may have been on some USMNT rosters over the last 6 months if not for those U23 camps.

The midfield for that U23 team is quite stacked. Tessmann, Busio, Morris, McGlynn, etc. Lots of 6/8 type of options. Good players aren't going to make it. Obed Vargas, for instance.

But anyway....................we do need more former FCD academy players in the USMNT. We're down to only four on the pre-Copa roster (Pepi, McKennie, Richards, and Shaq Moore.) We had a roster a few years ago with 8.

But anyway, we have a Euro debut. No relation, as far as I know, to Bryan Reynolds.

At some point, Cameron Carter-Vickers will get bored of this. He's now won 7 trophies there in 3 seasons (3 SPL titles, 2 Scottish Cups, 2 Scottish League Cups). And yet they celebrate each one like they've won the World Cup. They've won the Scottish Cup 42 times now. I mean.......................

On the opposite side of the spectrum, this is in the "I really didn't see that coming at all" category.

I’d say Sargent to Leeds off the table. Thank goodness. Couldn’t happen to a nicer fan base. Sure that egg they laid is still some American’s fault.

Yup, watched the game. Southampton were better, period. Wonder where Brendan Aaronson is off to now. Recently promoted Holstein Keil has shown some rumored interest, but surely he can do better than that.

That's absolutely spectacular. The coolest thing to me was seeing that my memory was wrong, they didn't start with a bunch of upsets, they lost 6 of their first 9 matches by Halloween. At that point they were in deep doo doo. After that they went through the months of November, December, January and February with only 3 losses total, all againsrt the top 3 teams in Germany (Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and RBL). They opened March with a pair of ugly back to back losses to Frankfurt and Augsburg, and then ran off another largely undefeated streak through the rest of the season other than a 2-1 loss to RBL in late April. Very happy for them. I'd never even heard of the side until this year, and then they finish top 8 and qualify for Europe. Absolutely nuts.

What's telling. I had zero interest in either team at all. But I watched the last 70 mins of the game? Why? Because I went from enjoying the Leeds podcast rec'd on scuffed summer '22, to discovering their fan base was filled to the gills with racist, playhatas club, haterade drinking lunatics, just epic grand mal ---holes in 2023. That's what happened. It's the first and only time I've ever seen a giant chunk of a fan base trail after players long after they were transferred, loaned out, or loans ended to ---- on them on any social media they could find.

I went from knowing nothing about them, to knowing way too much about them and hating them as much and more than childhood seedbeds of hate like the raiders, cowboys, and giants, and yankees, and red sox, and lakers and Penguins and Rangers etc. I don't think I've ever hate watched those teams, any of them, as much as I enjoyed hate watching this disaster class from them. Couldn't have happened to a bigger collection of epic ---- head fans. LOVED IT!

Fantastic to see Aaronson not having to go back to that ---- hole in August (pretty sure he continues to have a Championship "out". Too bad that contract is signed for like 31 more years lol).

What’s really funny is to see Leeds supporters desperately trying to find someone to scapegoat since they don’t have an American. This may cause their collective brains to explode. Looks like it’s Farke since he’s not their Lord and Savior Bielsa…..

Congratulations to Leeds on a very strong season. There is no shame in coming close but failing. I am sure you will enjoy another winning season playing at your level next year.

There'll be some cost cutting I assume as the Premier League subsidy will get halved.

Very curious how the championship shakes up next season. All the playoff teams were strong, and hull and Coventry could very conceivably be in the mix. You got your promoted teams. Will any league one promoted teams pull an Ipswich? It’ll be fun

highly doubt Aaronson will be back at Leeds. Will Union Berlin pick up the tab?

Portsmouth got 97 points in League One and they're owned by Michael Eisner, so if he is willing to invest or bring in a partner I don't see why they can't be in the playoff race.

    god we can only hope

the height of irony was me thinking how desperately Leeds needed a playmaker in the middle of the park to make that decisive pass that Brendan provides. They couldn’t do anything through the middle of a Southampton defense that had been shaky all season

whoever Leeds current right back was thst game needs to hand his head in shame he was soooooo bad. Literally touching the ball out of biunds constantly and injection trap. Connor Roberts was also pretty crap . Only player that seemed to want to be promoted was Daniel James.
