He's at an interesting stage where he hasn't played for any US team for a while now but it's because of release issues. Had he not had issues he would have been called up to U23/Olympic stuff but now because he didn't I doubt he makes the team. So where does he figure in say next fall after all the tournaments? Backup at left back is still open and he's one of the more offensive options. If he can keep improving defensively he still has a chance.
