    OFF-BUDGET PLAYER ROSTER (ROSTER SPOTS 21 - 31)
    The salaries for all of these players do not count against the salary cap budget. This roster includes all Generation Adidas (until they graduate from the program) and Home-Grown players (they can stay off-budget even if they have signed new contracts since their original MLS contract). Non-GA/HG players can also be on this roster assuming that they make the minimum salary amount given their years of experience in MLS, so there is no age limit for these players (when MLS called these developmental rosters in the past, players had to be 25 years old or younger to be on this roster - this age requirement is no longer in place). These off-budget roster spots are differentiated by the minimum salary amount.

    SUPPLEMENTAL ROSTER SPOTS 21 - 24
    These players’ salaries will be at least $70.3K.

    1. Isaiah LeFlore #12 (D) (12/11/02) ($90.0K? - $90.0K?) {2024, O: 2025, 2026, 2027}
    2. Quinn Sullivan #33 (M/F) (3/24/04) ($120.0K - $123.5K)* {2024, O: 2025}
    3. Chris Donovan #25 (F) (8/8/00) ($68.8K - $68.8K) {2025, O: 2026-2027}
    4. Sanders Ngabo #22 (M) (7/4/04) ($90.0K? - $90.0K?) [Denmark – INTL] {2025, O: 2026-2027}

    RESERVE ROSTER SPOTS 25 - 28*
    These players’ salaries will be at least $63.5K with slightly higher minimums based on years of MLS experience - non-HG or non-GA players must make minimum salaries to be on off-budget roster.

    1. Holden Trent #13 (G) (7/7/99) ($67.4K - $67.4K) {2024, O: 2025-2026}
    2. Jeremy Rafanello #14 (M) (4/14/00) ($85.4K - $93.1K)* {2024, O: 2025}
    3. Andrew Rick #76 (G) (1/30/06) ($90.0K? - $90.0K?)* {2028, O: 2029)
    4. Cavan Sullivan #6 (M) ($500.0K? - $500.0K?)*

    RESERVE ROSTER SPOTS 29 - 30
    These players must be home grown players.

    Press Release:
    Philadelphia Union announced today that they have signed attacker Markus Anderson from CF Rayo Majadahonda to a three-year contract that will run through 2026 with a club option through 2028.

    “Markus, who holds US citizenship, is a very physical and quick striker,” said Philadelphia Union Sporting Director, Ernst Tanner. “After initially playing in the fifth division in Spain, he was able to quickly progress to the third division where he has been performing well at a very young age. He is another great example of how adept our scouting department is at identifying talent and we look forward to integrating him as quickly as possible with the team.”

    Anderson comes to Philadelphia from the Primera Federación, Spain’s third-tier league, where he played for CF Rayo Majadahonda. In 2023, Anderson made 18 appearances (14 starts) and scored three goals, marking his debut on April 9, 2023, against Algeciras CF. Before making his mark in Spain, Anderson started his youth career at Manhattan Kickers FC. Prior to joining CF Rayo Majadahonda, Anderson played for their U19 team before joining Club Deportivo Básico Paracuellos Antamira in the Tercera Federación, Spain’s fifth division, where he scored 10 goals and registered four assists in 29 appearances (20 starts).

    Union acquire German GK, Oliver Semmle, from Danny Cruz’s, Louisville City, of USL. He attended Marshall University and was drafted by Colorado in 2nd round of last year’s Super Draft but was not signed. He had 12 shutouts in 31 games as a rookie for Louisville City. Union paid $100K transfer fee to Louisville City and gave up a 2025 2nd draft pick to Colorado to obtain Semmle’s college protection rights.

    I lived in El Paso after moving back to the US from England in late 1999. Their A League team was the El Paso Patriots at that time and they played their home matches at on a high school football field that was ridiculously crowned for drainage. They've come a long way since.

    I had forgotten that Carranza is out of contract at the end of the season. Feyenoord can make a low ball offer for him. Either way, he's gone, it's just a matter of when. Uhre, Donovan, and Baribo have to pick up the slack.

    Sure but he has like an extra season and "ALL THE PKs" lol. Anyway I wouldn't want to lose either and I don't have confidence in the union finding a 1:1 or better replacement for either of them. At least in the near term. I just feel more confident in the union being able to deal with the loss of one more than the other. Is Cavan ready yet?
