Markus and I talked out everything yesterday with the caveat that I am worried I will either screw up the autoroo OR not take full advantage of it. I see players sharing their lineups on the Discord and Twitter, but I am not feeling that comfortable with those options. Thanks in advance. I appreciate it. Boooo. You are really good though.
Well. As I told Markus this morning, we tried. We ran out a decent lineup (after tinkering due to Wednesday lineups). The players we put out there did not goal the ball. Haha. It feels odd not to be playing around with our MLSF team going into MLS Saturday.
Yeah double game weeks are a blessing (a lot of points to be scored) and a curse (no tinkering with the roster after the midweek games).
Dammit, Matt Stuver!! You played keeper against two of the weakest offensive teams this round. You got a shutout vs Houston, then you gave up two freaking goals to Kansas City. Really?!? You were supposed to get two shutouts!! And why the hell isn’t Hedges on n the field?!? He’s not listed as injured on the injury report! That’s the last time I select an aust!n player!! I hate fantasy.

Nah. Inside Man will remain on top of the leaderboard. I use Inside Man as a bench marker, such as: "How close did I get to his score?" If close = good week. If not close = bad week. I really enjoy looking at the lineups of other players once games are playing/have played. Some really good MLSF players in this group. Gomez from RSL this past week - great choice. We had discussed him briefly; yet we did not opt to put him in our lineup. He looks like the "other" option at RSL besides Chico. We watched many of the Wednesday games, and he looked good. However, we missed nearly all of the Saturday games besides the Crew game due to soccer commitments plus Jules turned four. We were celebrating him. And boy, we have had a lot of youth soccer this spring season. This weekend we are in PA for a tournament = no three televisions. In a few weeks, we will be in Sandusky for two weeks so again, no major viewing times. We have been trying to watch through highlights, but it is not the same experience. Oh well. Those first so many weeks dropped our overall score unfortunately. Our Team Value is 147.2 M. Our budget still feels.. constrained. Also, I liked the autoroo for last week. Thanks to my fellow players who helped me. I really appreciated it. The autoroo was executed well. You captained Messi more times than we have.

… a tale of two Wednesday nights. @Meddlin' Truckstop Owner AKA Captain Hey Riqui, you’re so fine. Guts, man. Love it. Inside Man had a great (and cheap) pick with the backup(?) Philly GK. Smart. Wednesday morning, we still had McCarthy in. Thankfully, switched to Lloris. MLSF is so funny yet painful. Which Red Bulls mid? Not the right one. Chicho not starting? Markus said pick a Gals forward. We went with the player who earned lesser of the points. Oh, MLS Fantasy. We watched a lot of the action (or non-action, haha) up until 10-something last night. Forsberg with two goals in two minutes? Bonkers. Also, screw Benteke with his brace after his zero performance last week. Lots of MLS action this weekend - and the massive non-MLSF game with our Columbus Crew.
Edit: I would add - we had the Portland game on our big tv. We had not watched Evander since he played in Columbus, I think? 1 - I am not a fan of Druissi. 2 - When Evander stepped up to that free kick, Markus and I gave each other the look of “he is going to rip it.” 3 - We were cheering on Hype Train. I asked Markus if we could put Zardes on the bench - “no.”
Thanks! Last week was a good week. But, this week, a double game week, not so much. Maybe the Saturday matches go better. But there’s only one match on Saturday night that matters…..
You still finished with 181 points. Only Alias Man and @chr1st finished ahead of you, as did @Robbo Crewfan—the rookie crushes it this week with 202 points!! The yardstick I use from week to week is Wetmore, who was at 168. No thanks to the Whitecraps, Invalid Entry was at 139 points.
