    I hate that.

If I ran world soccer, any red card that happens after the final whistle would be a mandatory five match suspension.

Technically it was before the final whistle

Finally getting to some of last night's replays after a night out and not watching a lot last night. Not only is Wilfried Nancy a really good coach with a fun style of play to watch on the whole, he also has to be near the top of the list in terms of best-dressed coaches in MLS. I'd love to know the shoes he was wearing - those looked really sharp.

Timbers fans will hate me for this, but that's sort of what I miss about Gio Savarese. I think he was one of the most stylishly dressed MLS coaches. Brian Schmetzer and Peter Vermes are always well-dressed on the sidelines too.

Got any pictures? I'm planning on trying to squeeze my stupidly wide feet into some Dinkelacker's whenever I go to Germany again.

The reason Colorado has been in the alternate blues the last couple of home games is because the kit supports mental health (they partnered with some local mental health charities as part of their launch last year) and they wore it for every home match during mental health awareness month. You'll see them back in burgundy for their next home match on the 11th.

I’ll try to get a photo from the live game feed. It was a warm and muggy night, and Nancy was in a short sleeved off white polo shirt, gray pants, and the shoes I mentioned.

Definitely agree on Savarese (Argentines always seem to have style-Poch and Simeone dress well when they dress up), Schmetzer always looks very CEO-like, and Vermes pulls off a suit and a polo look well. Never a bad thing to see some good style looks on the sideline.

I miss the days of coaches wearing 3 piece suits as a standard behavior. Pat Riley always looked like he walked off the set of a movie or TV show right onto the sidelines. I'll take people looking like Tom Landry on the sideline over slobs like Belichick and Reid.

Hank Stram of the Chiefs and Dick Nolan of the 49ers were well-dressed on the pro football sidelines too. Over an entire league, NHL coaches are probably the most stylish-looking during games.

I couldn’t get a good photo of Nancy’s shoes, but here’s the best looks I could get from the TV feed.

Not great photos, but you get the idea.

    I realize I've taken this post far off-topic as well . . .

For me, you can't really go wrong with a suit. But those who can pull off a good smart casual look have my respect. Nancy is one of those who can pull it off. Tracksuits are OK, but I'm not the biggest fan of them. I also think a lot of NFL head coaches look sloppy at best on the sidelines. I wished Berhalter would dress up a little more. He has "small college coach" vibes when he wears a t-shirt and wrinkled khakis. Pep and Ten Hag both wore suits for the FA Cup final yesterday, and I thought the looks suited the tradition of the event.

Rob Edwards of Luton Town probably has the look I'd wear if I were on a soccer touchline on normal days. It doesn't hurt that the guy looks like he stepped out of a GQ cover article, but I digress. I'm not sure I could wear a tie on the sidelines, but a suit/sportcoat look with good shoes would be my pick for a big game like a MLS Cup final or a CCC final.
