Just watched the preview for this match on Apple. It's just depressing how far this club has fallen. One key point - Expected goals per 90 minutes Toronto last year: -.67 per 90 min. Revs this year: -.97 goals per 90. In the words of the host - 'that's catastrophic...that's getting played off the field week after week.'

    Porter OUT.

And there's a few more guys I'm done with. Add about half the roster and Onalfo to that list. Not to mention our DP striker who's performing like a backup.

It's not even like the Revs were that bad. But if you can't score, then the one goal you give up is invariably fatal.

2021 Revs find a way to win or at least draw tonight. Instead, the 2024 Revs find a way to lose.

    The reasons why are obvious.

They were unlucky, starting with it being the first chance for Borrero, Chancalay and Carles to play togegether and it ends in about 3 minutes when Chancalay gets hurt. They played pretty well but in the end, got undone by what bad teams do - find different and creative ways to lose on a regular basis.

At least they were competitive against a decent team - I guess.

To REV Management: You are losing so badly and so often there have only been about 3 posts about your most recent loss. You may feel that is good but I’m here to tell you it isn’t. No one gives a **** anymore. Congratulations and good job.

Probably their best performance of the season, which isn't saying much.

Still, it took them 25 minutes to register their first shot. Their only shot on goal in the first half was a cross from Esmir that ending up curling toward the back post and softly into the arms of Freese.

Better in the second half, ending the night with 16 shots, 6 shots on goal (NYC had 14/4). But I only remember 2 or 3 shots that I would consider dangerous.

The offensive tactics of this team, combined with the ineffectiveness of Vrioni, are a recipe for disaster. When NYC had a fast break, they put six players in the box. The Revs never have more than 3 or 4 in the box. As a result, all their shots are either from outside the box, or easily blocked.

What is the MLS record for fewest goals in a 34-game season? The Revs could break it this year.

Answer: DCU in 2013 had 22 goals in 34 games. In 2010, DCU had 21 goals in 30 games. In 2020, CIN had 12 goals in 23 games.

Revs are on pace for 23.5 goals this year.

Idk Sasha, maybe your bosses can tell you, since they’re the ones who made Bruce disappear (with an assist from out ownership rolling over to let them do it).
