My thought was, the Libertarians are split between top leaders (who ache for the attention and quasi relevance they get from having Trump speak) and the grassroots, who are not Republicans so why are they gonna vote for one?
There's lots of Republicans who call themselves Libertarians, so that's where the confusion lies. But those guys don't show up for a Libertarian convention.
