Yaya Touré being is coach's assitant, for the fun fact. Historic club of Belgium's top flight, but been through hard times for the last ten seasons. Could aim for top 8 I guess. I don't really like this club since I've seen how ungrateful they've had been to Kawashima who was saving them every weekend back then.
Next goal for Kawabe. Great season so far like always. He must be a safe member of the JNT. Total underrated player. Almoat ever season from him is good.
Next assist for Kawabe today. He plays a great season again! Almost every second game a scorerpoint as a CM. But no chance also for him in the JNT. By the way Kawabe played 91 games till now in this season + the 2 last seasons and he has 40 scorerpoints!!! 91 games = 40 scorerpoints! Thats a huuuuge amount, especially as a CM/CAM/CDM. Thats also a weird decision for me. A Kawabe could offer so much more options to Endo, Morita and Hatate. Sure a Morita and Endo are the pure boss godlike players, no doubt about that but a Hatate with his ups and downs was very lively to Japans game at the Asia Cup and for example after he went out injured a Kawabe could also fill that gap. What was the point in 45th minutes + 3 minutes in the whole tournament Hosoya ? He blocked useless a slot in this team. Don't want to say he has no potential but for now he was no JNT material.
Scored and assisted tonight against Watanabe and Schmidt's Gent (that just took 5 points and got out of all other competitions in 2024...). Will likely be MOTM.
1+ assist and 1+ goal today against Gent. He has now 12 goals participations in 1810 minutes, that's a lot for someone who plays as a CM and is in a team that is in the 10th position. With these numbers, it's very probable that Kawabe will play at a top 5 league next season!
