Especially happy for Evans. I bet he retires now.

ten Hag says in his interview that the media criticism of him and the team has been unfair.

mentioned the injuries again, having a full squad 3 or 4 times in 2 years.

says he wants to play dynamic football, the best football.

gave Mainoo high praise, says we have to keep it calm with expectations of him.

Lineker said at the end "Congrats. we hope to see you next season". ten Hag gave a wry grin. telling perhaps

EtH and Ratcliffe had a frosty greeting when collecting the trophy. I think he knows he's gone, still.

when Dalot was asked the same question about poor performances this season he said "we can use all the excuses - injuries, performances etc." but he doesn't want to.

said Varane & Martínez give the team more confidence when they are back there. his interview was cut short by Fernandes though

ten Hag walking the FA Cup around Wembley now with one hand raised in front of the fans.

looks farewellish but not totally clear. maybe thanking the fans

ETH doesn’t look like a guy leaving. Rashford on the other hand looks overly emotional for a cup win. I could see him asking to leave in the next week.

    Just saw the highlights

What a mistake on the first goal
What a pass by Bruno on the second goal
Onana should have stopped the City goal

    Congrats United fans!

In the same post you sum up how crazy some of y’all are in here. We’ve capitulated at the end of countless games. That didn’t change all season, all the way to the end game. There’s no real system, and no improvement. We win the fa cup against city and all of a sudden those on the fence are convinced we should keep eth. All the incessant frustration throughout the season completely thrown out as soon as we win the fa cup against a rival. LOL

The end of game capitulations (like the goal we conceded today) were on player mistakes not tactics or selections. For example can remember plenty of AWB in particular brain farts that cost us games and points.

You can blame the manager for these if you want but most of us don’t - we blame the players.

Many of whom we hopefully wont be starting next season.

well, as much as today is for enjoyment the questions needed to be asked:

where was this all season? why not change things earlier when it clearly wasn't working?

i thought it was perfectly fair for the pundits to ask this even though ten Hag wasn't a fan

Terrible questions by the so called journalists. Basically asking him the same questions about his position and hardly anything about the FA Cup Final.

For journos looking for clickbait maybe.

For so called football people and fans who should know that first time in ages 3 players out rather than 11 and finally having Martinez and Varane back, not so much.

agreed. it feels like they are confident in their sources that he is gone and want to wring a reaction out of him

Watching it again. Bruno on the second goal is absolutely brilliant. He checks Mainoo a few times before Garnacho makes the pass and does the no-look pass to Mainoo because he already knows exactly where he was going to be.

This is so desperate and ass backwards. So ETH is responsible for individual errors late in games? So he was at fault for Onana letting in a near sided goal tonight? And he was at fault against Chelsea when Dalot gave away a penalty last minute?

No real system despite playing the same formation basically all season. No tactics despite us attempting to play the same way all season. ETH ran into the same issue as Ole. He tried to play a high line, possession game with players that are incapable.

Are people overreacting from one win? Sure. But you and others are overreacting from one season and ignoring the last. When ETH has had the spine of the team fit, we’ve been very good. First 3/4 of last season was some of the best sustained ball we’ve played post SAF until we lost Casemiro and Martinez. Which just proves we need more quality and depth.

Judging by social media, Rasmus has been drinking since the final whistle blew. Boy looks toasted.
