Its funny because prior to every single tournaments they're heavily favored if you read many articles.

The recent article from bleacher said "Brazil CA squad is stacked"

Yet 2006 Brazil = R9, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Adriano, R Carlos, Lucio, Dida etc... Still didnt pass quarter final ...

Dybala was included in WC 2018 squad & was fully fit and at his peak. Yet, he only played 20 minutes in total , while a faded Higuain somehow played 3 games out of 4.

I read that it was a tactical decision but others are saying he was injured. Not sure.

Cause Messi plays every minute and they are too similar. Unfortunate for Dybala but not surprising as Messi himself has said. I know some will bring up the finalísima as a counterexample.

Not just Finalissima, but we beat Chile in Copa third place game with Aguero-Dybala-Messi starting. If wasnt the ref screwing us by sending off Messi, we would have beaten them much easier that day.

Dybala is more than capable of playing as a #9

City in must win situation again in their last match tomorrow just like 2012 when Kun scores that goal....

Imagine Julian does the same thing...

Imagine if he plays more than 10 minutes.

That's usually still more minutes than Dybala when playing for Argentina.

A lot of media outlets are reporting on the rumors that Marcelo Gallardo's contract termination with Al Ittihad means that AC Milan is inevitable for El Muñeco -

No disrespect to the Saudi League, but they always seem like a jumping off point for Gallardo. I'm relieved that Gallardo is going to a "Big Club" (at least in tradition and history). I feared that he would get stuck with a team like Genoa or Monza. Gallardo has been an exceptional manager for his young career and I think in Seria A he is going to continue

A totally different situation. As it turned out Julian came on at 90th with match over. Needs to force a move.

The terror that was Allegri ball has come to an end with Juve. Hopefully they do bring him back after a few years as they did last time.

As bad as Chelsea were this season, they finished the season with 5 straight wins, and finished 6th in the season, which means they will be in the EL next season. Enzo should start the following season a bit more healthy. He talked about playing hurt for most of the season. I am not a fan of playing hurt, particularly if you are not effective. Take care of your injury and come back healthier.

Anyways. I also saw Aston Villa got thumped 5-0. I checked, and of course Dibu was not playing. I bet most of the players were still hungover from their celebrations.

City won another EPL title. And the crowd goes wild... Julian needs to ask for more of a role for the club or transfer. He cannot be a Angel Correa type player, where he starts a few games, where he scores a goal here and there, and then goes back to the bench. He's far too talented to be riding the bench. Make a case for you to start or ask to be moved.

As much as I dislike Tevez attitude towards the NT, he always determined to starts and not afraid to speak it loud when he needs too. I like it when he criticized SAF for dropping him in favor of that lazy striker and moved to City to win title with them.

I like the kid, but I honestly have to question his decision making off-the-field (which includes the rush to join Chelsea). Enzo really should have done the surgery way sooner when it was first identified. He could have injured himself a lot more and it's not like Chelsea didn't had any options at all in midfield. You are hurting the team if you are not in top physical condition. Do this with Scaloni and he will drop you with no hesitation at all. Enzo should be receiving raves from the Chelsea fan like how MacAllister is getting from Liverpool fan. Really hope Enzo hits the ground running next season.

    Pochetino out as Chelsea's manager.

He had a rough year, but started to turn it our the last half of the season. Last 15 games, they only lost one game and managed to win all 5 games at the end.

My guess is that we will see him in Seria A soon.

I guess De Zerbi will be the next manager of Chelsea. Not a bad manager for Enzo.

That's rough on Poch. Chelsea just spent a ton of money poorly. Eventually it'll get cleared up and that manager will look like a genius

Atalanta is currently wining 2-0(Europa League Final) with a half hour gone v Leverkusen. Musso can win a trophy. Pala is on the other side. Let’s see if Bayer can make another comeback.

I think that’s what we all feared with la scaloneta: that the undefeated streak could end up being an added weight that is broken at the wrong time. A record number of games without losing, only to lose in the final. In the end that loss vs Saudi Arabia was a blessing in many ways

I tend to agree. I mentioned this a couple weeks back... They already won the league and had a couple late heroics to salvage a draw and they celebrated like they won a cup final. That is a lot of pressure. Xabi has mentioned it that the players and himself wanted to go undefeated for the league campaign. I am sure they wanted to go undefeated throughout the season.

But Atalanta is a well-managed side. Gasperini is crafty and plays a modern game. I guess it is true what they say, the Tanos have the Germans number(Well, majority of the time they do).

As for us, yeah, that loss woke us up and after that, every game was a final. We all hoped that, okay, the first game we will route the Saudis 4 or 5-0, beat Mexico 2 or 3-0 and rest the boys v Poland. It was none of that.

And that should do it. 3-0 with a flat out GOLAZO...

Lisandro was great against the overrated Haaland too. Just realized I posted in the wrong thread

Haaland scores nothing in final is a common sight. The highlight for me was when Lisandro shoved Garnacho's back when he's celebrating to warned him the match is far from finish.
