    What times we live in where a US eligible 20 year old is starting in the Eredivisie and hasn't gotten much attention.

    But yeah he's started the past two games at right back for Volendam after making those 3 appearances last season.

    Well, it really depends on whether his father Ashton naturalized before moving to the Netherlands.

    You reported that Ashton moved to the US and became a naturalized citizen:

    That means at least 5 years residence in the US, which is enough to pass along citizenship to his foreign-born children. There may be some technical reasons why this didn't happen, but it seems he would be eligible at face value.

    He might not be eligible for the USMNT because he never lived in the US nor were his parents/grandparents born here, but that's a different question.

    I know that as of right now, he does not have any paperwork showing him to be a U.S. citizen. I know they're looking into it but I don't know of far into that they are.
