As has been pointed out by Luke, by beating and scoring tons of goals on us, the rest of MLS is playing right into our hands. We've got this league right where we want it, on top of us. Fools.
2 teams with a combined 3 wins since St. Patrick's Day. KC winless in 7, 1 win in 9. Portland 1 win in their last 11. This game sounds absolutely horrible.
But yeah. To be honest, I like Evander. I've been impressed by their new striker. And whatshisname, the always injured US dmid is gret when not injured
.09 xG in the first half per the broadcast. Ouch. Thommy out with a hamstring... ouch. Memo gets a yellow and is now suspended making our short midfield even shorter... ouch.
Fun fact, Pulido didn't sub out, he dropped to the 10. Just stating that b/c for about 5 minutes after the sub I thought he had subbed out.
There was a point in the second half where Salloi got the ball wide with time and space to play a ball into the box. Pulido was 7-10 yards off the last man for Portland, outside the box in no position to make a run for a header so Salloi pulled it back. I'm tired of our 9 playing as a really bad 10 maybe not even that.
He has no off the ball movement that is dangerous and Fontas can beat him in a sprint. Tell me again why he was signed to a new contract.
There is talent on the SKC squad. It is a shame that PV cannot see his rust. Doing more of the same only better, like PV and Memo say in the presser, may be sufficient but it is hardly necessary. The are multiple solutions to the woes of SKC.
Actually there isn't much tallent. Who are the national team players? Who are the MLS All Stars? When this team was good it had multiple CONCACAF internationals and several MLS All Stars. The roster is bad. The coach is bad. Ownership stopped giving a shit long ago. No longer jusy my opinion, this team is 2nd worst in MLS by points and should be in USL.
“…, but I thought we actually played okay.” That quote from PV just shows how little ambition this team has. We are now reduced to playing just “okay.” #VermesOut
