surprised as these type of sites and online "scouts" always compare Germans to Germans.

Plays like...........Brandt, Sane, Gnabry, Ozil, Gotze, Muller, Havertz is like 99% of comparisons, LOL. Like these are the only players who exist in the world it seems. Tends to be very lazy.

always laughed for years and years where tons compared Wirtz to Havertz, LOL they are NOTHING alike. Outside of BOTH emerging at Bayer there is no other things in common.

It’s crazy how Kroos has dictated the tempo and changed dynamic of the game. With his experiences he knows when to pass and when to circle around until your mate is ready in the channels. His pass to Vinicius vs Bayern is high IQ shit even Vinicius bow to him. It’s something this Bayern team is missing!!

Nagelsmann on whether Goretzka could still be called up in case of injuries: "Nothing is completely ruled out for any player. Of course we would like to have the squad that we nominated in the tournament. I don't want to give anyone false hopes. We hope nobody gets injured. But nothing is ruled out"

Nagelsmann on Thomas Müller: "His role is clear, he will get some playing time, even if not always from the start. He introduced Aleks Pavlović [to the DFB staff] which says a lot about him. He's simply a connecting link. He is who he is, and that's a good thing."

Nagelsmann on whether he spoke to former Germany coaches who have tournament experience: "I actually spoke to several coaches, with Jürgen Klinsmann, with Hansi, with Jogi Löw, of course with Rudi, all of those who have already experienced tournaments. But there is no blueprint. The answers were very similar, you have to listen to your gut feeling. You have to react to the here and now. But you also have to have your own experiences. The message from everyone, including national team coaches from other sports: You have to believe in yourself, listen to your gut feeling and go your own way. You have to enjoy it too, we don't want to let ourselves be paralyzed by any kind of pressure. We have to enjoy the moment."

Nagelsmann on Reitz and Gruda, who will train with the senior team: "Gruda is extremely creative in the final third, a very fine footballer. I'm very excited to see him in training. I hope he has the necessary self-confidence with us. Reitz has had a very good season, is very hard-working. He tries to initiate a lot of attacks. They're here just for training for now, but there's also a chance [to be in the squad], something can always happen. It's a sign for them that they were called up for training"

I see Rudi is with the team, he is very involved - I think that’s good , as he can keep young Julian honest . Basically there to give some advise if asked for . Julian would do well to listen to Rudi as it would make him just so much more successful .
I am sure Rudi won’t interfere, it’s not his style , but Julian knowing that Rudi has insight into everything might just keep him grounded with his core principles- keep it simple and affective .

I would really like to see us call up Gruda. We lack depth/options on the wings, you look at countries like France or England and they have a lot of pace and skill in those positions. Someone like Gruda could be a difference maker for us, especially given Sane and Musiala aren't 100% fit right now.

Agree. Difference makers are assets, and if he's good enough then he's old enough.

Not sure about England wingers, they lack skill and quslity. Their pace was provided by sterling and Rashford who will both miss out.

the only question to ask about Gruda is how good are his back passing and side passing skills?

I can't wait next month to see 500+ passes from Germany to score 0-1 goals!!!!!

its crazy that I keep forgetting that as hosts=we play the 1st game of tourney.......some pressure.

I suppose foden and Saka aren’t the slowest.

buy yes agree we lack some pacey wingers - Adeyemi would have been a good option

how is Fuhrich haven’t really seen him play - does he have pace ? And what about undav - as they are possible subs for us

Aaand Hummels ist talking to the media how "short and disappointing" his phone call with Nagelsmann was. That's exactly why the guy was excluded. What did he expect? It's of course disappointing to get excluded, it doesn't need a whole fairytale wrapped around to tell the story. He's a grown up football professional FFS. Support the team, keep your trap shut for once. At least until after the tourney.

Fuhrich isn't slow, but he isn't a speed merchant. He kind of reminds me a bit of Robben in terms of how he looks on the ball (with less pace), especially the way he likes to cut inside.

Undav is more of a complete CF type, good poacher in the box but also good with back to goal/link up play.

Yeah, important to convince him of his SNT prospects and getting him involved already really shows him a good perspective. We don't want another Samardzic type poaching. If Gruda gets a call up and makes even just 1 sub appearance at this tourney it perm cap ties him and any threat of future poaching is gone for good.

Talking of duals, interesting to look at our recent NT pool call ups and who is and isn't yet cap tied.

As far as I understand, duals we have called up over the last 2-3 years -

    Thiaw (not cap tied)
    Bella-Kotchap (not cap tied)
    Anton (not cap tied)
    Baku (cap tied)
    F Nmecha (not cap tied)
    Adeyemi (cap tied)
    Moukoko (cap tied)
    L Nmecha (cap tied)
    Schade (not cap tied)
    Undav (not cap tied)

If current call ups Anton or Undav make any appearances at the Euro, or play in another 3 NT matches in the near future, they will be perm cap tied.

Guys like Thiaw and Bella-Kotchap have not appeared in a major tournament and have less then 4 caps in friendlies/Nations League so could still switch.

So basically in this tournament we have the chance to perm cap tie Anton, Undav and Gruda.
