I'd be somewhat shocked if this team gets 10 points during this stretch. as a pessimist, they'll be fortunate to get 7-8 points and of course I'd gladly eat crow if they get 10 points. Let's Go G's!!!
The teams we struggled against turned out to be pretty solid: RSL (#1), Austin (#4) and Minnesota (#3). We now face teams that are currently outside the playoff picture: Houston, Dallas, SKC. So there are big red flags if we can't put these games away. These teams always play us tough, so it won't be easy, but these are the exact games we need to show up for if we're going to prove we're a solid team.
I hate that we are missing Paintsil for weeks. Despite his ups and downs I think that in the long run we are a 10% better team when he is on the pitch.

Speaking of math, a question to you guys: 3 ties in 3 games is better, worse, or the same as 1 win and 2 losses?
Good point TH, didn't think about that aspect. I was gonna say that it's better, because with 3 ties you give up only 3 points to the other teams, and with a win and 2 losses you give up 6 points.
So maybe 3 ties versus western conference teams just below you in the standings is better than 1 win and 2 losses.
I think it all depends upon context as you alluded to. A loss to a team 1 point above you in the standings alone with a split in the other two games could easily be worse than 3 ties depending how that team did in its other two games. Generally, I would prefer the ties.
Yep. If the Galaxy want to make all those road ties into a positive result, they gotta win at least 3 of these next 4 home games. They need to start tonight!
